Agreeing to having your child be in such a group should probably be grounds for child protective services to take your children away.

This type of idol group should not exist in real life and they definitely shouldn't be doing handshaking events until they are 13 at least, poor things, the old men are probably thinking every dirty thought in the book and they don't even realize it unlike their older brethren, it's one thing thinking of teenage idols and 2D idols who are lolis but this is not good even by the lowest standards of the human imagination.

If a regular kid idol makes you that upset, you shouldn't look up what a junior idol is then. Preventing kids from being an idol and doing what they want just because of what some adult fan is thinking seems totally unfair and over protective especially with how popular idol-ism is with little girls.

Just because it happens in America too does not make it any more less wrong. Toddlers and Tiara (child pageants in general) is under the same sentiment Vortia expressed

Toddlers and Tiaras can't be compared to junior idols because the show isn't made for sex appeal, it's made for shock factor and for viewers to be grossed out resulting in controversy and more ratings.

I get the whole general idol group thing kind of being like teen pop groups, but why is there even a need for an elementary idol group? Who are these peoples fans and what can their music possibly even sound like? The prospect terrifies me.

Dirty old men in their 30's and up, there was a pic of some junior idols on a bus that was posted here months ago, the fans were men, all looking in their mid 30's.

I never said it did. I called it a 'reprehensible' practice. And I consider the latter to be under that label as well.
