I actually look forward to this considering the premise of the show. Being a 2 cour, I'm hoping for decent development for both characters/story.

Man, I wish the pilot suits weren't tacky. Maybe somehow how when the series progresses, I'll start getting use to them.

I know. The outfits would actually look pretty great if you got rid of the boob window and filled in the bare midriff + thighs with more black fabric.

Cross Ange sounds like the title of a UK spin-off of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

They annoy me, because they seem so out of place. Nothing about what we've seen of this series fits those outfits. They seem to have nothing to do with the interests or wants of the characters themselves and the tone certainly doesn't suggest a need for a 'sense of fun' that stripperific battle gear evidently suggests to some people. These awesome, tough warrior women would probably be cooler if they dressed like what they are. It's as though the pitch meeting went like this:
"We have this idea for a show with giant robots and dragons. The whole cast will be female, which could be a cool break from cliché for a mecha show..."
"All girls? Do their outfits look like swimsuits and meet corporate-mandated cleavage quotas?"
Despite my frustration with the costuming, the tone of the previews thus far has made it look like a serious, potentially cool show. That their outfits might be disconnected from the series' content and tone leaves room for optimism. My interest is a little muted because mecha series often betray me, but I could put up with grumbling, "why are they dressed that way?" from time to time if does enough other things right, which it looks like it might.
There is something a little interesting about the women all being 'norma' who , "are treated as ... "things" rather than people," being dressed like that. Maybe it'll surprise us and at least use that to hang a lampshade on the uniforms.

Since it is Sunrise, I expect that even the dragons will explode when killed.

Well that promo certainly looked Sunrisey. The mecha designs look awesome, and the I like the girls uniforms. Too bad the plugsuits are pretty weird. And the helmet still make it look like they have beaks to me.

Yeah, that's the biggest thing they stick out more because everything is set up quite well which is making me still look foward to it quite a bit.
Oh yeah, as kevin said, the face (visor?) part of the helmet also still looks weird like a beak being open at the bottom.

The point is to titillate, duh.
It's also odd to be complaining about how to exposure of skin is unrealistic but then not complain about the mechas, magic and dragons.
"The personal is the political" is one of the most damaging attitudes ever to entertainment media.

It looks interesting and well-designed. Except for the plug/mecha suit. =v=;
Which actually looks cool, but the fanservice angle is off-putting.
I'm also hoping it doesn't get played up, but I'll still be disappointed if they added it just to appease audiences or because you can't have badass ladies without making them sexy/fanservice-y.
I still really want to watch it though~.

So, seems like Sexy Break Blade will be a series where I'll sit back and look at discussion/reviews of a few episodes to see if I'll watch it myself. Nothing so far has me wanting to get in on the ground floor with this series.

it looks like potentially good show if it grows beyond the obvious stereo types. Its going for the cheese cake is suppose to lure potential Otaku fans. Its like Infinite Stratos without the male lead and royalty/magic.
