Nothing really nearby (minus Philly but I really don't want to drive more than a half hour for a movie). But hey The dvd comes out on my birthday.

I mean I like a good excuse to go to sf, but this actually looks worth it to make an attempt at driving up come September. It sounds like it might be a nice surprise based off of the established feedback so far. Wouldn't drive more than two hours though (it's not eva or anything).

Seriously, only a half hour? I'm in Arkansas; unless you're looking for a meth lab, everything is going to be more than half an hour away.
Living in the south sucks enough on it's own, so I wish at least one anime movie would get a screening around here. Seriously, is it too much to ask for A Letter to Momo to be on a big screen near me? I still await the day that an anime film is just released to every major theatrical chain across the USA. I don't now what it will take for something like that to happen, but hopefully it will happen soon. With Attack on Titan breaking into the mainstream, along with The Legend of Korra making people who have never watched anime at the very least curious about it, I hope we can see that day arrive.

I received word form a staff person at GKids that most theaters will have both the re-dubbed and subtitled versions. You will likely have to go to the theater to find when which version is being played as theaters often don't include that info in their ads.

But I have school starting this week so I'll be busy and I don't exactly want to drive for an hour and a half just to pay $12 to see a movie.
To be honest, I don't see the point really, if the dvd'll be out in a few weeks.

I enjoyed this movie. I found the larger to "spirits" to be kind of annoying during a good portion of the movie, but it had heart and a pretty good conclusion, so I might have to check out the DC showing. I didn't even realize this was going to be coming to the States, so I'm glad I'll be able to put it in my collection at the least.
Now if only Hotarubi No Mori E would get a Western release. That movie was just phenomenal all around.

Can't wait to see this again in Philly. Saw it when I was in Melbourne; excellent film.

Well, I was out of the country so there was no way I could see it anyway. But I'll see it when I get my copy.
