I was wondering if the Platinum Edition is worth the extra few bucks for each dvd. The main difference is the digital remastering and the sound but is it really that big of a difference? Is there anyone who has seen both who can give me a little insight on if it is a big enough difference to merit purchasing the Platinum Editions instead? Thanks in advance.

Well you get the directors cuts on the last volume. And for me, the picture quality was noticeably clearer. I mean the colors are brighter, and there is less squigle.
I don't know what kind of deal you are looking at, but if you plan on watching this on a medium to big screen and a 2.1 to 5.1 sound system. It would be worth the few extra bucks to me. |
