I've created this thread so everyone can post there favorite Anime Character...
Some of you may not know him.........Though I would like to mine........
Well my favorite character is Keiichi Morisato (Ah! My Goddess) even though he is not cool such as Naruto , Dark (DN Angel) , and other cool anime characters. He is really a kind-hearted man and willing do something just for Belldandy. He is also simple in clothing (even though he wears most of the time white long sleeves and pants with many pockets).
POST YOUR REPLYS AND TELL WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE ANIME CHARACTER!

Alucard from Hellsing. Mainly because I'm a big fan of vampire movies/stories it's a major plus to him that he's the original Dracula, Vlad the Impaler. Anyways, I also love how in the manga/anime that he's so cocky and arrogant. He always has that creepy smile on his face even when fighting, then always lets his opponents feel like they have the upper hand only to take it away from them in an instant.

I have many characters I like, but fortunately this is about anime, of which I only have a few DVDs.
Probably going to have to go with Misato Katsuragi. I like the mix of talented combatant, slob and "crazy". She's both amusing and serious and I like the mix. Also her death in End of Evangelion was the main scene in most of the anime I've watched to move me. Heck, other things don't mean a thing to me outside of their context, but even thinking about it makes me sad
Special mention to Nausicaa and Fuyutsuki too.

Yea Misato was my favorite character from Evangelion, I too was very sad to see what happened to her in End of Eva.
Favorite character of all time though...hmm that's tough. I think I'll have to go with Faye from Cowboy Bebop. She's been my longtime favorite, as Bebop was one of the first anime I ever watched. Her "whatever" attitude towards life is infectious, she's hilarious, and (imo) has the most compelling backstory in the series. She's also gorgeous, did I mention that?

Wasn't there a thread like this recently? Anyways, I don't have one single favorite, but one if my favorites is Sorata from "X" the tv series. To me he's the pinnacle of a hero. He's loyal to his friends no matter what. He's the one trying to keep the group together in the show. He always tries to lighten the mood and keep everyone happy. He also has the courage to face his destiny head on. He's destined to die protecting the woman he loves and he faces this destiny head on when he sacrifices himself for Arashi when Fuma attacks her. Instead of simply accepting his destiny his willingly embraces it with a smile on his face.

Same here, the ova seems to portray Alucard the way he should be. It's always interesting to seem him dispose of his enemies while enjoying it at the same time, like in episode 3 of the ova where he's attacked by the SWAT team and justs makes them cower in fear while blowing their heads off at the same time.

gotta be Vash the Stampede. he's just awesome. I like that he's funny on the surface but is also so serious sometimes. I gotta give Alucard a close second though.

Definately Edward Elrich from Fullmetal Alchemist. The guy's a prodigy, realist, not afraid to say what's on his mind, but he also shows fear and other natural human instincts, he isn't made out to be the perfect human but rather kind of the best you can be, actually being a human and making mistakes. I think they built a good personality around the main character in FMA, made the show more enjoyable.

My favorite is definitely Ed from Cowboy Bebop. I've been a longtime computer nerd, and hacking has always seemed "cool" to me, so that's what turned me on to her at first. In addition the way she talks and acts cracks me up every time I watch that show. I like characters who act dumb/silly/stupid on the outside but in reality are extremely intelligent and show it when it really counts. She has a lot of enthusiasm and is just fun to watch.

Dolores from Zone of the Enders: Dolores I.
She's halfway between a pet and a child and is adorable. Plus she's a giant robot which is way cool. I love the way her character develops during the series and I think her actions at the end are worthy of much respect.

My favorite anime human character is Wakabayashi Genzo from Captain Tsubasa.
It's one of those cases when you randomly zapped channels and first thing you saw was a goalkeeper in a yellow sweater and red training pants stopping a soccer ball... You couldn't stop yourself from thinking "Wow... Awesome!" That was my first encounter with 3 things: My favorite character, my favorite series and my favorite sport.
He's cocky, arrogant and somewhat bratty in the beginning, but thru the series he grows up, becomes a serious guy and wishes to be the best goalkeeper there is. As a soccer player, he's a born leader, knows how to organize the defense line and has good reflexes, though his speed isn't that high. I have to admit he's quite handsome too, but I don't want to sound too much like the fangirls I hate. Hence I prefer to focus on what really matters: His soccer abilities.
And my favorite non-human character... *Shifts eyes to her avatar.* FLCL's Ta-kun the black kitten.
I love cats. Always did. But when I saw this itty-bitty furry black litte kitty, I was bedazzled. He was crazy all right, but I just couldn't stop watching him. I've shown him to many of my friends, and I might say he has a mighty fan club . Conclusion? He's my favorite just because he's so adorable... What else can you say about a cat that just jumps around and says 'na'?

My favorite Anime character is Ruri Hoshino from Martian Successor Nadesico. Reason being: Besides the fact that she is generally so very cute, she also is a psycological replication of myself.
