One of the few times a dual language option seems pointless unless they offer an alternate English script as well given how completely different it is.

The Japanese release of the DS versions already had English and Japanese text options which was linked to English/Japanese voices (for example: eng = objection/ jpn = igi ari) for the selected text.
The Japanese release of the 3DS best selection already has English text available, so why is it taking till winter to bring it out over here -__-, unless they intend to "improve" the script or something? Because I seriously doubt that this "English and Japanese language options" means you can select Japanese audio (which are only words like "hold it" or "objection") with English subtitles. Since they don't intend to release it physically like with PH5: Dual Destinies, it doesn't seem likely that they will spend extra money to revamp the whole English script.

That's what make this version a bit interesting.
I wish they could release this on PSN for Vita, I mean the Ace Attorney series appear on PC, iOS, and Android. Come on make it avaliable on PSN (and maybe on XBLA).

Well I for one am looking forward to these games being re-release. I never played the Ace Attorney games before, and this seems like the perfect time to give this series a try. Besides, from looking at the preview the court cases have a lot of "colorful" characters. If court TV were like this I might consider watching them often. The only question I have for this re-release is whether there would be English subtitles in the Japanese dub or not. I am going guess yes.

There's nothing to subtitle. The original games were GBA games with no real cutscenes; everything was text and pictures only. GS/AA5 was the first main series game with voiced and animated cutscenes, and the dual language option wasn't given.

I'm sure this is so, but the version of the first game being used here is the one from the DS re-release with the extra fourth story, right?

I already have the original 3, but if this isn't going to be americanized then I might just re-buy it to see the changes.

Alright, so I guess then that the Japanese option is just going to feature the text in Japanese. Well then my other concern would be whether the U.S option is going to be americanized like they were when the games first came over here. I heard the U.S release was Americanized and I would like to read the story unchanged. However if it does turn out they went with Americanizing the story again I would still buy it. Like I said, I want to give this series try.
Thanks for pointing this out Aster.

I think the Japanese-Language track is just the Japanese voice bytes in place of the English. The text will most likely be left as is.

I'm just going by the most logical scenario here, Aqua.

These games are absolutely due for a replay as far as I'm concerned, so this is perfect and I will actually buy the "game".
Also, I'm sure the double language thing is as KabaKabaFruit suggests.
