This game is looking quite cool. I'm actually not a Persona fan, I tried 3 FEV and found the social linking tedious and the procedurally created dungeons dull.
But this looks like a solid dungeon crawler in the Etrian Odyssey/SMT mold. I also can see why they went with 3D modeled characters over drawn sprites. It looks like they're going to make the dungeons a bit less sterile if you can see NPCs standing/moving around. I just hope there's an automap feature, as drawing the maps in Etrian Odyssey got old fast. But this is a day 1 buy for me. |

If you read the transcript, there is indeed an auto-map feature.

Thanks to that logo, I keep expecting "Soul Bossa Nova" to play during the trailers. Color me disappointed, yet again...
In other news, the lack of consistency with the MC names irks me. They keep "Yu Narukami," but they don't use "Makoto Yuki" for the P3 protagonist? |

As a P3/P4 fan and someone who has probably logged quadruple digit hours into the EO series, I can't wait for this game.

The protagonist has a changeable name. :3 However, in the trailers, the staff have named their characters Yu and Minato. Thus, I kept the names this way in the transcript. Also, it's easier for people to understand instead of writing P3P P4P or something. |
