Dear,
Whenever I try to search for an anime with Google Chrome as my browser it keeps searching without any results. However when i try an other browser results will load almost instantly. I don't know if this is a bug or that it has to do with any settings of my browser. (Also I use Avast Pro as my antivirus-scanner and use Adblock Plus but i have it disabled for this domain.) |

I use Chrome and do not have this problem.
Where and on what page are you entering your search term, and what page does it take you to for the results? Cab you try doing the same thing in an Incognito mode (which disables extensions). |

I search mostly from here:
animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/search/genre and: www.animenewsnetwork.com/ so just normal for what i know.. and if i search (for example) "Log Horizon" it takes me here: animenewsnetwork.com/search?q=Log+Horizon But still it just says its searching but its not giving results at all. |

Using Chrome 34.0.1847.116 m, http://animenewsnetwork.com/search?q=Log+Horizon , delivers results for me quite quickly.
What version of Chrome are you using, on what OS ? Are you accessing the site through a proxy ? Do you have any script blocking or privacy add-ons installed ? |

this sometimes happens to me when the browser searches with "Https:" as it appears to be doing for you as well. Change it to just "http:" and you'll find the problem is resolved. I also use Chrome. |

Interesting. I've confirmed that the problem exists when accessing the site via https.
This is because it's a 3rd party script. I'll see if it can be fixed. |

Suddenly happening to me too. Chrome took me to https without me even realising. The browser is flagging that "This page includes script from unauthenticated sources" via a shield icon in the address bar. You can tell it to lead the script anyway and the search then works.
--edit-- It also affects the meta-info in the encyclopedia. |
