Now this is downright crazy. I'm really curious how they perform law down there. But then again it's probably no more crazy than some of the stuff we come up with. When it comes to that type of stuff there's always something off the chart.

I think the quote "the fact is stranger than the fiction" applies to this preety well. I'm curious as to if there is a case similar to this in the US?

When my husband died in 2001, this family requested some of the remains(about 1/2. Sort of hard to measure) & held a funeral & buried them up in the Bay area which I thought was strange. The rest of him is in my daughter's room by a large pix of him. I always tell her to tell friends, but she never does until the ask what's the brass box with her daddy's name on it & then they're usually pretty weirded out.
It's all strange when dealing with death, trust me. I didn't mind surrendering part, just couldn't see the expense of burying it. like that, but closure for them, I guess. My daughter & I joke about which part they got.

Totally bizarre and totally sad too that she had passed away... She had such a passion for her work and love of people and situations. She used to do her own website as well, you can see her personal notes there on everything. Maybe this will shed some new light on an artist that was lost to this world far too soon in my own estimation. I hope she is resting in peace in the other world. This mess with her remains is just too bizarre.

Meh, I find this whole topic rather odd and sort of... not... really important news.

I mean sure there are probably people who know her but I didn't even see a single title that I recognized...

Oh well, whatever.

would someone tell me why her husband's more entitled to her remains than her own mother?
