I'd like to conduct a poll, to find out what the anime community's favourite anime of the year is is, I believe I have been able to list ever anime that aired this year including shorts and excluding OVA's and movies.
Now there are 2 polls here created on google docs, one if for: Anime of Fall 2013 Season to see what the top anime that just ended this season. one is for: Anime of The Year 2013 to see what the top anime of the year is. You can pick up to 3 choices in the Fall Season poll and 5 choices in the 2013 Poll. Now with the Fall Season poll, I have excluded 22-26 episode shows, since they will end in 2014 and so can not be judged accurately as of now. So shows such as Strike The Blood and Log Horizon etc. are exempt. I shall give the poll about 7 days to collect submissions. It should be interesting to see what the results. Thanks for participating, I look forward to another great year in Anime! |

Such a poll was run in "The List" feature.
It was only open for less than a week but it did initially list every show that started in 2013 and seemingly got a decent amount of responses. The results are at the end of this article: animenewsnetwork.com/the-list/2013-12-21 You could maybe try to contact Lynzee to see if you could get specific numbers. I also personally started a couple polls of the sort in the ANN Poll section with less choices and slightly different critera which haven't gotten much response. So, good luck with your poll, but I wouldn't count on ANN users to contribute much, I think many here are polled out. |

Seriously, enough polls. I voted (Aku no Hana, Kyousougiga, PSYCHO-PASS, Shinsekai Yori, and Uchouten Kazoku), but I really think it's a waste of time creating a poll if not a lot of people will know about it. IMO, it's best to wait for the results of randomc's poll. It's the one that will most probably gonna have the most votes, thus it will be the most accurate representation of the anime fandom.

I think Hajime's a "either love her or hate her" character. I liked her but I can see why others wouldn't. I also consider her a "love her in fiction but strangle her if she were real" character:)
She would've likely got my "fav character of 2013" award if she didn't give me terrible flashbacks to an ex. |

Where is Watamote in that list? I voted for Shinsekai Yori and PSYCHO-PASS, only two because I haven't watched enough to find 5 titles that I loved. |

Top 3 of the year for me would be;
Zetsuen no Tempest (Even though it really began in 2012) Vavrave Sunday Without God If I could have had one more choice, I would have added Outbreak Company. |

I must say I'm very surprised at how many people voted for ShinSekai Yori. I thought the series went largely unnoticed.
