I dunno. I think any of the Atelier franchise would make for dreadfully boring viewing, despite being good games. Majority of the game is just making stuff. Haven't played E&L but I am doubting it is any different.

YOU
MUST
BE
JOKING.
I mean, yes, it's great that the Atelier series is getting an anime.. I've been dreaming of this day for at least 7 years. But it seems odd that Escha and Logy would be chosen. Yes, yes, it is the newest title... But it is also the second title in the Dusk Atelier franchise...
And honestly, I would have preferred a Mana Khemia (1) adaptation. I was just writing the other day on Twitter, "MAKE A MANA KHEMIA ANIME," since the Mana Khemia games are far more story-based.

Mana Khemia is a dead sub-franchise. It sold like crap in Japan and Gust very unlikely to ever revisit it. You might see its elements pop up in the Atelier games though.

Meeeeh not exactly true. They just re-released the game for the PSN, and even included the game for free with Escha and Logy.
Doesn't change the fact that the game is best suited for an anime out of the Atelier games.

Still, they can probably come up with some kind of plot. The Marie & Elie manga that Tokyopop brought over part of years ago was decent.

Ehhh, then you'll get your specialize fantasy school series which doesn't really stand out among others. Besides isn't the Mana Khemia series like a bit more popular in the U.S. than in Japan?
I was wondering when they're going to adapt an Atelier series into an anime though I'm a bit surprised they didn't do the Arland trilogy before.

YEAH! Good news!
Although a little strange, at least should have started with Ayesha as it is related heavily to Escha and Logy. But... eh, no complaints, looking forward to this.

Persona 4 started with an anime before Persona 3 so I won't mind this. Maybe that they'll mention Ayesha and fully explain her absence in E&L (destrution of the ruins). I don't mind if she gets a cameo appearance, but still wanting an Arland trilogy first.
Having played the game but looking forward to this, hope that they won't screw things up. It has good potential.

Nice! Hopefully we'll get an anime for the Arland trilogy afterwards.
I wonder if NISA will pick up the anime.

Its not surprising they are making it for Escha & Logy instead of the Arland trilogy, since these adaptions are made to help sell the newest games.

I haven't played E&L yet since its not localized, but I am very pleased to see this. Will definitely watch it. Would have preferred a Meruru adaptation, but hey.

I would have thought games one through three would have made the best anime.
