Ya, that new movie that's coming out with Eddie Griffin, cars and driving. Is that movie in anyway related to Redline the anime?

Until we watch it, we can only guess if it's a copyright infringement case. |

I hope not. I don't want that piece of crap associated with anime in any way, shape or form.

Like Tokyo Drift isn't loosely related to Initial D? |

I didn't know that. But the good thing is that nobody even knows that (most of the FatF fans probably don't even watch anime), so it's not like we're getting a bunch of street-racing fanatic wiggers going, "Yeah dawg, did you see that bitchass episode of "Initialize DS" where that one motherfker totally owned that other ngga? Damn, that sht was tight!"* *Sorry, but most of the people I know who like illegal street racing are idiots who act like that, like my dumbass brother who went out in MY car and got pulled over. Now I've got to go to the police station and somehow get out of paying $400 because my brother almost hit a fking dog that some little girl couldn't hold onto. |

Redline is a common term in the car world simply referring to the maximum speed a cars engine is designed to maintain. There have been books and games with the same name, all obviously involving cars. The similarity has more to do with the term itself and not any form of plagiarism, especially with such an old and unknown anime such as that it's far more likely they have a common source for the name than the movie trying to imitate the anime.

Anime about racing has never appealed to me, even as far back as Speed Racer I always hated it. It's not just anime though, movies about racing have tended to be rather bad as well, at least in my view.
Did this come from any cognizant thought process or did you simply pull it out of thin air?
Just like you couldn't hold on to your own car? I'd say pay the fine instead of trying to bend the rules. |

Again, I don't even know what cognizant means, so of course I just came up with it out of the blue, I was in the R encyclepedia and saw it, read it and posted this. Now thanks to Keonyn I know something about cars.

The picture in the encyclopedia article really reminded me of the girl in the movie trailer... but forget about that, there's always 'that one girl' in a racing show.
Like Keonyn said, redline is simply a racing term. Besides, I doubt that the people who would watch that movie really care if it's based on an anime.
(OT) Cognizant- basically referring to something you are aware of (the thought process). It's related to the word 'cognitive', if that makes it any clearer. |

Eh.. just realized how off topic this subject feels. We don't need anymore GATSU-isms, so let's not speculate even the most miniscule correlations between an Eddie Griffin movie that just happens to have the same name as an anime.
