Holy crap, Megami in english. lol I may actually check this out. I bet it'll be in plastic wrap in stores, but how would it look if someone removed it and looked at the magazine before buying it? I'd like to see people's reactions to someone looking through a magazine of pin-ups of two-dimensional and very under-age girls...

Oh .... burn! EDIT: Still, I'd be interested it giving Megami a look when it comes out. I know for a fact that my brother would LOVE it. Not to say that I wouldn't like it though .... Last edited by Jedi General on Tue Apr 03, 2007 11:02 am; edited 1 time in total |

Really glad to hear that Megami is coming to the States. Never thought I'd see that happen (even if it is only DX & not the main publication). I hope they'll be translations of the Japanese version (not that there's much to translate). I'm been subscribing to Megami for a few years now, & the only DX issue I'm missing is the very first one (the 8th one is coming in the mail right now). So I'm hoping I'll be able to complete my current collection, even if it is in a different language. ^^
Although if what's seen at DMP's site is to be taken literally, it might not. The site lists Tsubasa Chronicle, Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid, Negima!, & Galaxy Angel. Of all of those, only Galaxy Angel would be in the first Japanese version of DX. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Megami DX just a smaller sized version of Megami?
It's great that DMP is releasing more titles. I just wish they would let us know what's up with the Robot series |

IIRC, it's a collection of the posters that appear in Megami. I could be wrong though. I have some of the Japanese magazines and I've enjoyed what I've seen. The magazines themself have nice extras. I have a nice standup of Nanoha and Hayate. |

Is it going to feature anime that is currently popular in Japan, or is it just going to be the stuff that's already licenced?
I want some good Kanon and Air posters... |

does that mean that we girls are soon going to get pinups of anime males? Because that i'd totally go for.

The cover on DMP website is from vol. 5 (the original vol. 1 has Karen from Sister Princess on the cover). If they actually start from vol. 5, Nebs, you won't be able to complete your entire collection. DMP should just release it the way it was released in Japan instead of picking only series that's already released here.
Megami Deluxe doesn't have any articles on the series like their regular magazine. Megami Deluxe almost entirely contain one page picture from their pin-up or poster collections from the previous months of Megami Magazine. There are no actual pin-ups like in the regular Megami Magazine; some of the issues does contain double sided poster (sorry Digi Angel, there's no Kanon or Air posters with any of Megami Deluxe. Vol. 4 has Air and Clannad mini desktop standees). |
