Mega Charzard X is Flying/Dragon,
Finally, I've been waiting for them to change Charzard to a dragon type for the longest time. I guess this is the best we'll get.

I feel so old. I remember being in middle school when Pokemon blue/red came out and enjoying its simplicity. Now everything is so complex about it. Different game for a different generation of gamers, I suppose.

Charizard's X Mega Evolution looks more intimidating than its Y one, and it has Dragon as its secondary type, while its Y Mega Evolution still retains its classic Flying type.
Perhaps the Mega Evolutions of some Pokemon may have differing aesthetics and features depending on which version of Pokemon you have?

I suppose you're right but I hardly find anything 'complex' about these games, it's just when you get into competitive play or keep dealing with a bunch of wimps who won't stop abusing legendaries.

I like this one way better. I think it actually looks a little more like Charizard. The other version just seemed a little off to me. And the black color scheme with the blue flames is awesome. And a Fire/Dragon type is awesome. Too bad it doesn't have Drought though.

I'll be a total hipster and say that I pre-ordered X before these exclusives even were revealed haha (it's true though!)

However, that new Ability that Mega Charizard X has is said to boost his Physical attacks, thus making him a formidable powerhouse in its own rite.

I watched Pokemon Origins live and (spoilers for the plot) when Lizardon/Charizard mega evolved into Mega Lizardon/Charizard X, I thought it has suddenly become shiny! I also figured something was off on its general design, but it never hit me that it could be another Mega Evolution possibility until the two comedians revealed it after the final episode. Talk about a shocker...
As for Mega Lizardon/Charizard X, if you have a shiny /LizardonCharizard, does it go back to its original color when it Mega Evolves in X...? =P

I think Charizard's Shiny color will remain even when it evolves into its X Mega Evolution form; however, I think Shiny version of it might be of a different color from the original...

Oh, so that's what that was in The Origin special.
Seemed really out of place.

True. Does Outrage make contact? STAB Outrage with Tough Claws boost could do some pretty massive damage. Still, I think it would be better to just have the instant +50% boost to fire attacks though. And 1 turn Solar Beam to counter Grass, Ground or Rock types.
