It probably depends on who you ask. I would think that there's more dislike of the other East Asian nations than for America.

I'm willing to bet the final two countries are the US and UK, but that's just me.

No, American cosplayers hate WCS. And AX, where the American finals were held a few years ago, refuses to deal with WCS ever again.

From everything I read, my impression is that what happened in 2005 was that AX did a poor job gathering contestants, with only 1 group "competing", TV Aichi didn`t like this, or the group, and others were selected instead.

Of course this caused mayhem... and AX put all the responsibility on TV Aichi to save face... simple as that.

WCS keeps going, more and more countries joining, turning it into a real World Contest. I don`t know why US should be out of this, also considering that there are Cosplayers that would like to participate in the WCS.

It's essentially a Beauty Pagent thats rigged. It's never about the costumes, it's about "the twins" in front of many of the contestants. I mean one year (think it was last year) guess who they picked as the winner? A completely rubbish cosplay of Angel Sanctuary!! But the cosplayer had great tits.

The last year winners aren't exactly the best example of "beauty"....
anyway, it´s wrong to say "americans hate wcs", don´t speak for a entire country.
