Sutherland just doesn't do it for me like Hayter.

Can't understate how much better it is to have someone in the main role that isn't an embarrassment.

I've hated MGS since 4, but this is honestly looking like a return to forum.
And I'm happy Hayter is gone, he's sucked since 4 basically.

Well I only liked Hayter as Snake in MGS 1,2. Akio Otsuka is Snake for me I hope that he will reprise his role in the JP version. And for fan's sake I hope that the game will contain both languages.

I guess I'm in the minority on liking MGS 4. When you're middle-aged, or feeling world-weary, you appreciate it better.
Rahxephon: MGS 3 sucks for other reasons, not Hayter.

Metal Gear Solid 3 sucks?
Well I'm not sure what crazy world you live in, but MGS3 is easily the best series. Its turly an amazing game and no I don't think hayter was bad in that one.

Am I the only one that thinks the graphics of the PS4 aren't that impressive? I mean sure, it's an improvement, but it's not as dramatic as the leap from PS2 to the PS3. I mean if I saw that footage of MGS5 and was told that it was just a super pretty PS3 game, I would believe it.

Rahxephon: If you like unnecessarily slow and repetitive gameplay, then sure. Not to mention that Teen Ocelot's as annoying as the Chris O'Donnell Robin.

This is literally the only time I've read anything negative about teen Ocelot in 3. Everyone I've ever heard including myself finds him extremely enduring. His character development of actually respecting the Boss is just really well done.
Slow gameplay? I mean, I guess you have to actually pay attention to whats going on, but I'm not sure how that's a negative. The environments and what not really make stealth in this game feel pretty unique and involved. I'm not just watching cone vision.
And I'm not sure how it's repetitive since it's basically like every other MGS.
yeah I'm sorry, the great gameplay and story really make three the best MGS.

No matter how good this game is, MGS will never reach the peak it reached with Peace Walker...
The game will NEVER be more epic than that Monster Hunter crossover.

Peace Walker..............
Peace Walker is an awful piece of trash game, not even just a bad MGS game. Just a terrible game in general.
Do you like stealth gameplay that requires no thought because the enemies are so brain dead that you can walk up and just CQC them?
Do you like levels so terribly small that one strategy that works for most of the missions is to just go into a corner and aim for headshots. And in the HD version it's even easier as you can aim with no problem. Who even needs actual stealth?
Do you like MGS boss battles that are not unique and lose that awesome MGS personality?
How about bossess that aren't challenging yet somehow go on forever and ever. Shoot and then resupply, thats all they are.
Do you like a story that craps on the character The Bosss and most of the story from MGS3. That adds convoluted character development thats completely uneeded?
If you said yes then I guess you'd like PW, you're also probably kind of.....
PW sucks.
But oh a few dumb levels have MH crap so it must be good.

Rahxephon: My other issues with MGS3 include slow loading, constant camo swapping, lousy guards who don't fall asleep very easily from tranquilizers, horrible camera angles and cheap AI. Will agree with you, though, that Peacewalker was a disappointment.

Well I mean I guess those are issues, and not like people haven't voiced them. I just don't see them as problems.
I really don't remember any loading problems. Going to the menus for camo and health stuff never bothered me, hell for medical stuff it just encouraged me to play better as I knew exactly what stuff did to me. And the camo I just thought was cool and I didn't have to change it that much. Plus it made me try and experiment with things and more conscious of my environment. I thought it was a great system. I don't know what you mean about the guards, as shooting them in the head 1 or 2 times makes them go down or you can really easily avoid them in the jungle. Horrible camera angels? I guess, but it's just the MGS2 camera and I never had a problem, but it dosen't matter since substance versions fix that with the new camera which has no problems. And I don't know how the ai was cheap, I've never encountered that complaint.
Yeah I really like 3.

Depends where you shoot 'em. Some of 'em do wake up fast.

That's not the one I played, unfortunately.

You shoot one of those bastards the wrong way with a dart, they will come after you.

But if you shoot a guard the wrong way in any MGS, they come after you....I don't get the complaint.
And I guess the guards come back quickly but it was like that in two as well.
And while MGS3 didn't have the 3rd person camera, it was really just the old MGS camera anyway. I played 3 right when it came out and was pretty use it. In some instances you may not be able to everything, but then that's what person was for, just look around. Really it just made the stealth an actual thing and not a puzzle like in 1 or 2 so I see no problem.
And that's where Im gonna stand honestly. MGS3 is one of my favorite games.
