Yeah, I'm surprised it took this long. I wonder....how well is the Train Man property doing in this country, considering how prevalent it is with the movie and 3 manga series and all that?

I... purchased a copy of this novel in English from Amazon.co.uk last month... is this announcement just for the American version of it?

Yay!! I have the graphic novels and the movie, but I really wanted the novel. Novels are usually deeper than manga, comic books, or movies, so i'm excited!

Is this an actual novelization or is this that novel that was a transcript of the supposedly true message board conversation?

I stll think this whole Densha Otoko thing is fiction and the whole ' true story off a message board' thing was set up by a publisher or tv studio.

No, it's pretty well documented as being a collaborative message board project. Additionally, if it was a set up by a particular publishing company, they would likely have established exclusive rights to the story and any adaptation. The very fact that no one owns specific rights to the story is the reason why we've been innundated with different versions from every Japanese publisher under the sun.

I never knew the novel came out in the UK...Well I guess that's one more thing from Japan which we Brits have available to buy and you Yanks and Canucks can't buy in North America! Very Happy [And that also includes the Battle Royale movies on DVD!]
