(I have edited and, hopefully, clarified the intent of this post.)

I have been watching Ghost in the Shell SAC 2nd Gig. I watch an episode in the original Japanese then with the English dub. So anyway, in episode 9 (if memory serves) Togusa is on trial for shooting a killer cyborg. A lawyer is introducing himself to the cyborg defendant who is now sitting on a wheelchair shackled and gagged and the lawyer (in the English dub) says, "Hello, I have been hired by your parents to defend you. Don't get up."

Get it? In the English dialog he's telling a man who is bound and shackled to this wheelchair to not get up.

In English, this lawyer is a comedian. Razz

I for one, found it very funny.

In the Japanese dialog, this bit does not exist. I figured someone needed to fill in a couple of more lip flaps and they came up with it. Have you run accross a similar bit of creative English dub dialog?
