He has the laugh down, which i think is probably the most important part.

"Raises the bar of Shonen Jump anime films"? I'm pretty sure that was Mamoru Hosoda's One Piece film that did that but I guess we'll never get it anytime soon so they might as well hype the highest grossing one.

I can't wait till it comes out! I already watched the sub, but I'll love to own the official release with the dub. It'll be interesting to see how Funi voices the characters, as I prefer the manga over the anime.

Well, if we're talking about box office, then it did raise the bar for Jump movies.
Except for Z, nothing else ever came close.

And i guess it was SW's huge success that started the "mangaka executive producing movies" trend that became so usual these days.

Well, if it's anything like his Hohenheim in the first FMA series, phoning it in.

I'm excited about Ian Sinclair (Toriko!) playing Brook. I'm still on the fence about Funimation's choice for Franky. I love Patrick Seitz but not sure about him as Franky but I think I'll like Ian Sinclair as Brook. He has the laugh!

The commercial made the movie look fun. I can't wait to see it.

I personally got used to Franky pretty quickly, no it doesn't sound anything like the Japanese Franky, but this works for a dub. It just gets bad for me when he has to sing, which really most of the translated in series songs tend to sound bad...*groans at the memory of Luffy's north and south song.*

I'm really liking this voice actor for brook though, it sounds just right and I loved his "OH SO I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU HUH?!" Line. Now that all the straw-hats have English voices I can rest a bit more easily about my dub worries for this show now...

Also can't wait to get the movie, "Pushing the bar for shonen movies" is a tad much, but I did find it fun regardless and I definitely think its worth the purchase on blu ray.

Isn't Luffy tone deaf anyway? He's definitely logic deaf.

That's an excellent choice for Brook in my book. I can't wait to see his arc and trademark song in English. Very Happy

I'm super excited for this. I kinda got burned out on One Piece JUST before Strong World came out. But then, I started watching Funimations Dub from the beginning and fell in love with the series all over again.

I have to admit I was expecting someone like Vic Migogna or Jerry Jewell, but Ian sounds fine to me.

EDIT: I noticed someone mentioned Hosoda's movie. I'm hoping after the release (and hopefully success) of Wolf Children and if Strong World does well, some guy at Funimation might see "Oh another One Piece movie done by the same guy as Summer Wars and Wolf Children? LICENSE THAT SUCKER FOR RELEASE!"
