If you mean PS3 by popularity, you have your comparisions wrong. If America you speak of, it'll be either the XBOX 360 or Wii...but as for Japan, defintely the Wii...

/votes for broadcasting order

If this actually goes through, we'll get a release the Japanese people would have probably wished they had. It's nice Bandai and Kadokawa are taking the time to do this.

I voted chronological order. It's definitely better to watch in broadcast order, but I've already seen it in the broadcast order, and any impact/innovation/awesomeness from it I've already seen so for collection purposes, I'd like my episodes in a neat order.

Anyone notice how short Haruhi really is if you watch the main storyline in order? Another ingenius aspect of KyoAni's broadcast decision was that it made the main storyline seem that much longer.

But that would mean that everyone who hasn't seen it yet would likely miss out on seeing it in broadcast order. Considering your second point (which I solidly agree with), I've gotta vote for broadcast order on that count.

I voted for broadcast order but you make a good point frentymon about having it in order for collection purposes but it has been a while since I have seen it so I would like to watch it again in broadcast order. Wink Yes, it really is shorter when you watch the main story line in order...ingenius indeed.

Hayama Kotono from Saint October, one of the masses of gothloli shows of the season. Has spawned phrases like "GREEN HAIRED KOTONO IS MINE".

I'm very glad they are doing this poll. Broadcast order most definately... To me, this series just doesn't seem right viewing it in order. It's winning by a long shot, so it looks like I won't have to worry.

Absolutely, broadcast order or broke, in my mind. I vote for broadcast order without a second thought. Although I would love to get my hands on a chronological order as well, I have a feeling that many people would, so I'd bet a good deal of money (say $100) that they will release a chronological version as well should the broadcast order release be first. Of course, if they did it that way, I'd be buying both of them; but if they release the chronological way first as singles... and considering I'm not currently working and paying for all my living expenses out of my savings (as I'm a Physics student taking considerably more than an average number of credits), I don't know if I could justify that much for it right now, I might end up holding out for the boxset or for a broadcast order release.
