First for Please Teacher!, when I noticed the Japanese voice of Mizuho who addresses Kei would always sound like she is saying "Cake"? But why is pronounced that way for the Japanese version?
Also, most of the animes I watch with female characters wearing eyeglasses, I noticed that when they are overexcited, the lens on their glasses brightens. I felt like I have seen an illustration of that just like the one I saw for a character in Ranma 1/2 named Mousse. But at that time, I was only playing the video game version. Take Please Twins! and Fullmetal Alchemist for example, Tsubaki Oribe and Sciezka, both wear eyeglasses and when excited, their glasses brightens. There must be some explanation of this matter. It would help with an answer. |

She's probably saying "Kei-kun". I'm not familiar enough with it's specific usage to explain it properly, so I'll quote Wikipedia:

At times that's to make the character seem funny, and most people (in Japan) will know what kind of mood that person is in. It's not just female characters though, it happens to male characters as well. To show how smart or how dumb they might be, or whether they've just come up with a great idea that could be the plot of the episode, or their downfall. Just how it comes. |
