I watched it the second the link to the internet episode popped up on here, then watched it when it first came on Spike, then watched it with my uncle, TiVo'd and I still love this, I mean it's nothing but very beautiful violence but that's what I thought it was going to be, so hey, Double ^.
Ninja Ninja was getting on my nerves though, his "You gotta a freaking RPG in your backpack?!?" was pretty funny but the rest was just taking the dialogue away from Afro, who doesn't talk much though. I think Ninja Ninja is going to be a badass fighter though, he's all running away all the time but I think he'll fight one of the numbered old guys or the chick listening over the cell phone. |

Ever heard of a little thing called an opinion? I have the right to have it, and you have the right to ignore it. |

Not only that, (in reference to the 72-year-old thing) but the age and gender of the voice actor/actress doesn't really matter if they can immitate a voice, well. And all good VA's can screw up at any time, like Steve Blum, I thought it would be hard for him to do a bad voice for the characters he did, so I didn't expect to see something I wouldn't like from him. Then Orochimaru hit my ears, and I despised that voice, it was Steve but I didn't care, it was bad. (IMO of course) |

Yep, second run, and Ninja Ninja fails hard. Nothing to contribute to the story whatsoever.
At least Spike TV aired Zatoichi right after Fridays airing to compensate. |

Ok let me throw out one question. First off who is Afro's teacher? Oh wait could it be ninja ninja?
Well now that i got that out of my system, let me tell you what I've got to say. Considering this is one of the few Anime series coming from the United States it is well made, it feels so like any other samurai anime out there. It's plot so far to me is unknown but it looks great and at this point I'm waiting for the 2nd episode, so it has the edge of your seat thriller, like other anime. Finally, it's a good series for it's origin. |

This series kinda reminds me of Samurai Champloo with a bit of a Quentin Tarantino edge to it; I always think of Tarantino when I think Samuel L. because he's in a few of Tarantino's films.

Surely you realize that there's no way the Japanese version will compare to the American one. |

It's origin is clearly America, it's animation fallows a Boondocks feeling and it's intro song is only 30 sec. and the final indicator is, I can't find it on any site to Download it fansubbed. |

Isn't there a manga for this that came out in 1999? At least in Japan?
And Gonzo produced this and Namco has started on the games for it. It's origin is Japan. And it shows on both Fuji Television and Spike TV at the same time. It was created by Takashi Okazaki, somenoe i've never heard of. |

Well I'm not.Sam will practically take on any role these dyas.GTA San Andreas is one example,And the soon to be released Black Snake Moan is another. love the animation but I think the series would be much better without the lame comedy relief character and if anything I find cliche would be the revenge premise. We shall see what the following episodes may bring. |

Way too early to judge A.S in it's entirety..
Based of what I saw it was pretty good. I have to agree on the plot though, it seems quite basic at the moment, and the 1st episode seems too rushed to get into the action, but when it got into the action...by golly Monk 6 with the RPG, or the fighter from the West with the poisoned] arrows and grenade launcher was the best fight so far, really vivid and expressive in the artwork and sound effects. $1,000,000 is a HUGE amount for the budget, but it really showed in the quality of the art work, I think I will enjoy this series. Only thing is, I miss the JPN voices! I don't think some of the voice work was enthralling enough, it didn't sound too mystical, esp when the monks were talking. But overall very good so far! *edit. I just have seen the voting on this in the review section and I am surprised that the votes are so spread out! Does anyone know where I can get/read the original manga |

I don't like spike tv, and I wasen't really into the hype for this. Needless to say I diden't watch it. I don't consider this anime because it was made to pander to the sterotypical american male taste (probably why it's on spike). If I want to see violence for the sake of violence I would watch Ninja Scroll. |
