I have to give Air Gear one credit; the soundtrack really, REALLY kicks ass!
Which to me is almost a shame the animation couldn't really keep up the pace (and no, special effects and speed lines are no substitute for fluid animation). The dub seems to add quite of bit of cursing as well (unless that was in the original). |

You know Air Gear was pretty good I liked the comedy in it but it seemed to me that they would get serious and then swich to comedy very quickly. This wasn't really a bad thing but I felt it did it to often. The dub is pretty good though, I can't remember how much cursing was in the sub but I think there was a good amount.

Well the manga is something i whanna check out but I dunno. Plus I don't whanna start collecting another long series, but Heh, I might check the anime out, but then again all the bad I hear about its animation, and how its no where neart "Oh Great!" ahaha
|

Heard about this show and manga for the longest, but it's actually quite good...
One quick not though for ANN, on the advertising banner, there are 2 differnet on sale dates, Jan 2nd and Feb 6. Just wondering which one is the real release date and to correct the problem of them being different. |

I agree that this show has a really good sound track, but I really like how they turned the show into something that would appeal more to a younger audience, but leave enough perverted material to teach the youngin's about sex!
I love the manga because it is mindless entertainment that is a lot of fun to read and it has its own unique style with beautiful artwork. The anime seems to be lacking all of that. Why can't a Oh! Great series get turned into a good anime? Tenjho Tenge got neutered badly.. It was going great till the last episode. 
Oh yea.. Even though I dislike it, the dub is good! Great job ADV!

Does anyone know if the manga ends differently then the anime? Or even if the manga continues past the ending in the anime. Having seen this anime through to the end... spoiler[I just felt like something was missing... There was the big build up of him being the greatest and then it ends with a jump off? ]

Hi guys new to this thing but i watched the first season of air gears in japanese with sub and its a comdy anime but also is kinda serious at times basiclly its about a boy that knows nothing about air gears and finally trys the out and finds out that he's really good at it and shit so he starts a quest in the city and citys around him to be the best at riding them but he has to go threw alot of crazy sick people that have special air gears its a really good anime you just gotta give it time to grow on ya personally i would go get the sub even though what they say in english is the same thing they say in japanese and to me its OK Dub i hope this clears some questions out oh yeah if you wanna know anything about naruto in the future after the hole garra era ask away i got alot of info on that cause i watched it all the way up to eps.163 cause the fillers started to get to me lol oh yeah for those of you that watch the japanese verison of naruto Feb 15 the new episodes of naruto are coming back instead of these crappy fillers

This anime annoyed the crap out of me. I'd say that it's only saving grace are the character designs and its kickass ost.

I just finished watching Episode 1 ...
... Jet Set Radio? I can only hope that this anime succeeds, so that Sega will see it and think ... didn't we do something like that? Then they'll make a new Jet Set (for Wii hopefully), and I'll be very happy. In the meantime, this is looking very good. I'll have to pick it up when it comes out. |
