Hopefully, this will lead more kids to check out anime. An odd but cool bit of
news and just one more sign that anime isn't a fad. Anime will never die! Cool

Aren't there a couple of English dub VAs who have been Power Rangers?

Lets just hope an OC slip up doesn't happen here. Good for them I suppose, though I wasn't aware people still watched PR

It's still pretty big, not like it was when it first started, but still going fairly strong.
Kind of amazes me too, but I see kids and their parents picking up the toys in
Wal-Mart and Toys'R'Us all the time. The DVDs move okay from what I can see
too. What's going to be scary is when the nostalgia buyers start getting into it
while the kids are still buying it. Shocked

He was the second Black Power Ranger. Also, Patricia Lee, acting as Haruhi in the promo video, was the Pink Space Ranger

It's not as big as when it originally air back in the 90 with the original series, but when I ref soccer it seems like all the kids are still talking about it.

Wait, this isn't the actor, but the character we're talking about? Hrm, interesting.

Wow, slow news day, huh?

But seriously, seeing as what happened to the rangers' interests last season, I doubt anything will come from this. They probably won't even mention it after the first two eps.

I sure hope not, I wan't him to be the crazy otaku in every episode. Considering the I don't like what the next season of Power Rangers is about.

Oooh, I gotta find the precious with a shovel wielding Zord.

If I'm remembering correctly, they used some footage from a hentai anime.
Apparently, they wanted to have some sort of anime playing on a TV in the
background for a scene. (They probably pulled it out off someone's shelf
without checking it first.)

A little vague on the details but I think that's the gist of it.

He was both actually. He switched colors when the Rangers got new costumes in one of the later seasons.

I'm betting they won't reference any real anime in the show. Rather, they'll invent a fictional stereotypical anime and have it be the only one he ever talks about. Kind of like how on Beetleborgs (another dubbed sentai show that came over to the US but didn't last too long) the heroes hung out in a comic book store, yet they only ever discussed one fictional comic, which also was the only comic ever displayed on the shelves.

possibility of promoting anime with power rangers....

that makes my stomach turn. another thing that makes us look worse. now people can say "they like the stuff being shown on power rangers"

the yugioh/pokemon/dbz thing was bad enough, very annoying, but thats a blow to the balls with a sledgehammer.
