I don't know about you guys, but I seem to like anime a sort of vampire genre. I'm of course referring to Vampire Hunter D, Hellsing, etc. I recently got into this anime club at a friend of mine's school, and last saturday, we got together and watched anime for 12 hours! We watched stuff like X, Trigun, Vampire Hunter D, Cowboy Bebop, Hellsing, and the ultimate brain fryer-Angel Sanctuary. Gyaaa!!! Angel Sanctuary makes you go insane after watching about 10 minutes of it. Anyone agree? Anyway, I wanted to say that Vampire anime is more appealing and just plain awesome to me.

>.> The Angel Sanctuary is a big no no to watch unless you're familar with the manga.
The creator of Angel Sanctuary wrote a neat little 3 chapter manga called Bloodhound. Most of Kaori Yuki's stuff has a the nice gothic flair you may be intrested in.
Try Witch Hunter Robin as well. No vamps, but still supernatrual stuff.

Ahh, the romantic undead. So noble a breed. Indeed, both Vampire Hunter D and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust are excellent films. They make me wish Yoshitaka Amano contributed character designs more often.
As far as I know, Vampire Hunter D and Amon Saga are the only two he's contributed to.

I like Vampires. They can either be straight-up cool or a potential catalyst for the examination of the nature of human nature and humanity.
I'm such a romantic.

Indeed. In my opinion, the Vampire Princess Miyu OVAs are the finest piece of vampire-related anime out there. Hellsing takes honourable mention, but not the top spot, since Studio Gonzo decided to nearly kill the whole thing by throwing in that god-awful trash with Incognito and such...
As far as vampires in Western entertainment as a whole, I'm kinda tired of the whole thing. Interview with a Vampire, Vampire: The Masquerade, Underworld, Anne Rice's collection of books...it all just runs together. Too much flowery "O thou Gothyck Vampyre" stuff going on; fun for a while, but it gets dull easily. At least anime deviates in its use of vampires (Miyu is different from Alucard is different from Saya is different from D).
I liked Blade, though. But then, Blade also actually tried to be different.

I don't like Vampires.
They annoy me with their goth melancholy and implied sexuality and stuff. Ugh, undead.... get thee hence from my crotch.
And yes, I did usually rp a werewolf in WoD games... no LARPing for me, though. I draw the line at that.
