most of the people who already have everything have been watching it for almost 2 years now though. Its expected for it to shoot up in products when the fanbase was big before it hit here.

Yeah there been pins and other items there for quite sometime. There was a lot of naruto cosplay gear on sale when I was there, and FMA dvds on sale as well. Not to mention there was also some Naruto dvds on sale, if that your thing.

Ya, I've seen it there... Was this supposed to be a surprise? Because it was very obvious. Like Naruto is the new Dragon Ball Z, I think of Bleach being the new Inuyasha. Except I've heard that Bleach isn't as repetitive (so far).

Nah, it just has the confusing expanding cast roster.

The cast is 50% of the appeal of the show (49% of it was the spirit world arc, so I personally don't have much expectation of the rest of it being anywhere near as good after the fillers).

Then what do you consider the other 1% ?

He actually got the percentages wrong. They go as follows:
10% Luck
20% Skill
15% Concentrated Power of Will
5% Pleasure
50% Pain
100% Reason to Remember the Name of all the characters
And then 49% Soul Society Arc
Back on topic, this is of no surprise to me. It was only a matter of time. I remember seeing FMA merchandise in Hot Topic when FMA was hot on AS, and one of my friends actually bought me Kakashi gloves from Hot Topic, and I also bought my brother a headband. I just wonder if it's a matter of time before they start selling big, hollow, plastic Zangetsus in Hot Topic...

Oh god, I love that song, I haven't heard it in way too long. I think I'm going to put it on loop for the next six hours

Wow i think i just found my new favorite song...
Does anyone find Hot Topic a little.... intimidating.... Anyway, I didn't really associate Hot Topic to Anime merchandise, but I guess it works.
@The Seventh Son. What's so bad about the fillers? I mean yeah I guess they do go through two of the Bounto a bit too fast, but it besides that you have Ichigo back with Bankai and all the other Soul Society Captains.

Alot of people see it that way, but I guess everyone has their own experiences and it depends much perhaps on who is attending the store. I associate the two (Anime and Hot Topic) very well actually. Both usually contain loads of angst.

I don't go to Hot Topic too often, so I wasn't really aware of this, but I don't find it surprising either. Bleach seems like the kinda anime that can become mainstream easily (especially because it's on TV).
I somewhat like Hot Topic, I usually have the people who look like they actually belong in the store stare at me with this "Wtf are you doing here? o_O" kinda look. It does amuse me, but it's a bit hard to shop like that. (I dress pretty girly, I guess. Not like skirts and such, but I don't look like the kinda person you'd see in Hot Topic. ^^; ) I suppose I could order online though.
..SharinganEyes92, "Remember The Name" is totally stuck it my head now. Good thing I like that song.

Yeah, I noticed they had keychains, toys, and shirts like about a month ago. I hope they get alot more things in. It's be cool to pick up merchandise from somewhere other than Suncoast and random stuff the comic book shop gets in.
I remember the Fullmetal Alchemist and Samurai Champloo stuff too back when it was at its prime on [as]. I actually picked up the 3 SC action figures during their 50% off sale which was a really great deal, all 3 for about $20.
I wonder if they'll do Bleach energy drinks, aka water with sugar, like they did with FMA. My friend bought a Fullmetal one and said that the drink wasn't that great, but the art on the can was awesome.
My local Hot Topic moved all ther anime stuff to the entrance of the store. It's located in a mall so when you walk by, one of the 2 display windows has all anime stuff. Pretty cool since I remember all the Inuyasha, Samurai Champloo, and Fullmetal Alchemist merchandise being at the back of the store.
Is anime making a transition to becoming mainstream?

I was kind of shocked when I walked into my local hot topic two days ago and came face to face with an Ichigo shirt. Then I noticed they had a whole rack full of anime merchandise. (the hot topic in my mall hasn't carried any other anime merch other than the assorted DBZ shirts and FMA pins).
