This pleases me to no possible end. I'm very excited to see the cast list for this!

Please make this a series, too. Let it follow the manga.

I think an adaptation of Special would be cooler, but this might be. Unfortunately I doubt there'll be a way for Americans & English speakers to legally watch it in Japanese.

I actually like a lot of the voice actors of the existing Pokemon anime, especially since that anime tends to use voice actors over 30 . . .

The battle between Red and Blue is bound to bring back the earlier memories of when I first enjoyed Pokemon as a video game franchise.
I'm hoping the anime of Pokemon XY will feature at least one of the Trainers from the video game version of the title. Smile

Hard to tell if it'll be an adaption of Special/Adventures since Red's character design is different but if it is this could very well be the anime of the fall season for me. If it's not an adaption of it though this still sounds fairly promising so either way I look forward to it

Why does it take a decade and a half or 2 for franchises to reboot their anime?

Transformers: 1984 - 1999. In 2000 the first new timeline is made, RiD
Gundam: 1978 - 1993. In 1994 G Gundam was made
Pokemon: 1997 - 2012, now this

Aw well, I'm so glad Red gets the spotlight instead of Ash, and I hope the new anime is a bit more serious than the first. Like Gundam AGE.

Welp, time to put Pokemon back on my to-watch list. I only stopped watching it during the Johto series, but I love the manga/games so much. Good to see it finally being adapted.

I never thought this day would come! The only thing that would make this news better is if I was told they're going to also animate Silver/Gold, and Ruby/Saphire after this.

Oh my god. This is the birth of all things good. I hope they make this into a series that follows the game storyline in a decent amount of episodes and NOT 150+. I really wanna be still be living in youth if they do the next games.

and yes...THERE IS GOD.

Origin has my interest. If its focus on battles and more like the games, it can be good.

Starting to lose interest in watching all of Ash's adventures, so might just stick to the important episodes like gyms and such for XY and beyond.

Guessing this might be just a single season, as the original Pokémon will no doubt be continuing for a good many years yet. Still, a chance to finally see the Silph storyline, and maybe even Green/Blue/the female will be awesome.
