I just picked this up from the Rightstuf Geneon sale last night. I'm glad I did, since it seems like a number of titles I've been delaying purchasing are going out of print...

Ah, the nostalgia. I remember being addicted to this series when I was a kid and I also been procrastinating from buying it in favor of the newer stuff, I just ordered the entire set before it disappears.

I love this show!

This was the last tv series Miyazaki ever directed.

Oh Holy Crap.

Well, with Gankutsuou over, I'll need another excuse to donate to Geneon...

If I knew this I probably would've bought at least a few DVDs of this from Right Stuf since it was included in the Geneon sale... I love Hayao Miyazaki's movies, so I might have liked this. I don't think I'll have enough money to buy this before it goes out of print though. Sad

Although I have never seen the show, I bought it based on reviews alone from the Rightstuf sale. Sounds like a great show. I'm glad I picked it up, now that I know its going out of print.

I went and bought these when they were released and I love them all, but only the first two disks have episodes by Miyazaki. If you can't afford all six, see if you can at least buy the first two. At least get disk two; episode 10, "The White Cliffs of Dover" is probably the best of the entire series.

I definitely agree about episode 10--I didn't know which episode it was originally, but it was long-ago memories of seeing the chase sequence towards the end of that episode that spurred me to get the DVD a couple of years ago.

I'm so glad I bought the entire series about 2 years ago. It's such a wonderful TV series...
