No, it's not another 24-hour anime television channel. AnimeTV is a free video podcast premiering on iTunes on Thursday, November 23 at 7:00 PM.
From the website: AnimeTV is the very first video review show that focuses on Japanese animation or more commonly know to the fans as anime. We are dedicated to bringing you reviews on the most current anime titles that are being released on DVD or televised on network/cable TV. Unlike print publications, AnimeTV brings you anime the way it was meant to be seen. In full motion video, with music, effects and dialogue. You can now sample the series you’ve been wondering about or discover something you never knew existed. Ever been down the aisles of the anime sections of Best Buy, Borders, or Barnes and Noble and had no clue what these new titles were, let alone what to buy? Never fear, with AnimeTV you will be able to preview that DVD you've been wondering about. So what are you doing? Check out AnimeTV! Sounds like the pros want to get into the podcasting business. I just hope they remember to talk about the anime and not the dubs they produce, as many people won't want to see Johnny Young Bosch claiming how good he was in Trigun. I mean, I wouldn't mind, but that's just me. 
I really don't like the whole "cosplay and you can be on AnimeTV!" thing. That just screams of ugly Edward and Inuyasha cosplayers who have no shame. Here's hoping this podcast is a good one, and not some boring "let's only talk about Bleach" thing like Anime Pulse. But since it's video, it should be a good one. I'm with GG on this one... depending on how they do this it will be turn out very well, or... not.
We have enough stuff out there to let us know how good BZ is, and I don't think I'll be taking the time to get a podcast just hear them tell me how good they are. I got the memo. That said, points to them for listening to the users on their LJ and other sites who've been asking for them to do this for the past few months.

Its like me and my buddies were sitting around, watching anime in a brightly lit studio then discussing the anime we watched while following a carefully crafted script. Brilliant.
