I think America would be the most annoying character to eat lunch with! I love him for it, but he's obnoxious, loud, only talks about himself, and he's a messy eater! Meanwhile Japan would just be stiff, awkwardly silent, and way too formal the entire time...I have no idea who in that show would be bearable for more than five minutes, actually. Maybe Finland...?
As for this week's poll...Personality-wise he's a real piece of work, but I would wear any of George's dresses in a heartbeat. |

Wait.....wait......Where's Kagome? It's Kagome, time-traveling heroine of the feudal era! Inuyasha was THE show back in the day (well my day like 10 years ago) so she was the first person I thought of for the list. Guess I'm showing my age (I feel old now .)

If Homura wasn't number 1, I was going to rage. But she's #1, so I don't have to rage. Awesome list though. Madoka Magica, Steins;Gate, Haruhi, and Mirai Nikki were all great anime.

Wait a minute why does Houmura count? If she does, then you have to add the entire cast of When they Cry and all its spin offs; which incidentally is another show Madoka ripped off in addition to Shadow star narutaru. Both are permanently time looping to fix the situation.

Wow, is this going to come out this early from now on? I love these polls, It's on of the few things I keep up with each week. Good choices for the time travelers. France was all the way at the bottom of last week's poll results. I feel bad for Masaya Onosaka.

When I saw time traveler, I thought that Trunks or Cell from DBZ would be in since they were basically the first future badasses, or at least Okabe would beat Suzuha. I'm not surprised to see Homura number 1.
Though I know it isn't famous in the West, the entire cast of Doraemon do time travelling more than most of the characters listed here. |

Why is a certain set of characters from umineko when they cry spoiler[Ange and beatrice] or the very obvious choice of spoiler[rika and hanyuu] from higurashi since they are all candidates if homura (who is a very good choice) from madoka. You have to give when they cry some credit at least.

Higurashi and Umineko don't count. spoiler[Nobody actually goes back in time. The 'time loops' are actually completely different universes, or game boards, or whatever.]

I said Belarus! Would that make me a masochist?! I just think she's strong and beautiful, and would make a good friend... For a girl.

Haha, you shouldn't feel old, Kagome was the first person I thought of for the list too. Well, her and Makoto, but mostly her That anime's still THE anime for me, and I'm not that old, just someone who's watched more dated anime than current anime I guess (although most of these series on the list are on my must-watch list too)
Haha exactly what I was thinking! |

What a pleasure to see Haruka on the list, and in the number two spot at that! Noein is extremely under-appreciated these days and deserves wider recognition. If only Media Blasters would let the Japanese version be streamed online because the English voice actors for this show leave a lot to be desired.
On the DVDs there's a live-action tour of Hakodate, the port city on Hokkaido where the story takes place, with the director Akane Kazuki and Haruka's rookie voice actress, Kudou Haruka. This is a very entertaining addition, especially Akane's obvious crush on his young actress. How can you not love an anime where Schrödinger's cat makes a guest appearance! |
