Okay the anime says that the following are the creators of these homunculi:

Ed & Al created Sloth
Izumi created Wrath
Hoenheim created Envy
Dante created Greed
Scar's brother created Lust

So, who created Pride and Gluttony? I don't remember if that was ever said in the anime. Are their creators revealed in the manga?

I am not sure about the manga, but since the stories are different there may be some slight differences in how those story are told....that said one of the characters from FMA 2: Curse of the Crimison Elixir, Jack Crowley "The silver Bullet" alchemist attempted human transmutation of his wife Elma, but yet she didn't return as a homunculi, but like you noted I have often wonder what kind of person Gluttony was in his life.....or Pride for that matter.
Till next time,

spoiler[Gluttony wasn't made from a person, he's a failed attempt at replicating the gate.]

of course this was in the manga, so take that however you want.

Not reading scanalations and picking up the American releases, I'm only up to volume 9.

Pride has yet to be announced, but the anime version of Pride is actually Wrath in the manga. And Sloth has yet to be seen up front, but there was a screen shot from the back that made him look huge.

So..... I guess I have nothing to contribute to this topic... Very Happy

Homunculi aren't created the same way in the manga. spoiler[They're all created by one person, "Father," in a totally different manner.]

That's because the games weren't made with the anime story line in mind. The events in the first two playstation 2 games are supposed to take place before certain events in the manga.

So anyway you wouldn't be getting any info on who Bradley and Gluttony were thanks to the crack directing of Seiji Mizushima. I'd say more but the hills have eyes.

thatspoiler["father" is, as far as i can see, Hoenhiem Elric. Ed and Al's father ]

in the anime, i think Dante created Gluttony and Pride as well as Greed. Pride is a special homonculus because he ages as a human does.

Yes, but they never explain why, it was just thrown in there with no explanation that’s the problem.

My take on that is spoiler[ since he used a clay golem as a vessel for her soul, his transmutation was less like creating a person and more like soul attachment... 'Al in the armor'-type stuff. But the old grand Arcanum methods didn't work as well, she couldn't stay in the golem body for very long. That my understanding, anyway.]

Or the fact the games are related to the anime.

Ahh that makes a bit more sense spoiler[having the her transmutation simliar to that of Al soul attachment. ]

But the strange thing is that the videogames actually use the manga (like how Al and Ed prove to Rose about Cornello) for the cutscene instead of the anime....it's all very weird. It's originally one of reason I found out that the anime and manga do take a different course.

As crow-kun said, that's already been proven to be false.

I agree with suna_suna; I don't remember the exact episode number, but I think spoiler[Dante talks about this when all the homunculi gather in that hall, right before Hoenheim gets there. At this point, I think Dante has already taken over Lyla's body.] I watched this quite a while ago; sorry, I'm a little fuzzy on the details...

That was a mistake I wasn't being careful. The fact the games don't follow the anime is the point I'm trying to make. Very Happy But the last one is stand alone but I believe it's not going to be released at all.

Pride was created because Dante needed a way to get into the military and needed a humuculus who looked and aged like a human. She said she was most proud of him because of this, so thats probably how he got his name.

As for Gluttony, I'm pretty sure she said she created him to ingest the Philosophers stone, which is why spoiler[she took away his emotions instead of killing him when he got upset about Lust dying, she still needed him.]

And on the game thing, I thought they are supposed to be semi-related? I mean aren't they supposed to be like a side branch in the anime? Starting a alternate verse or something...
