Milestones within reach: 8,070,446 (Kuroko 2012 sales) 700k (Blue Exorcist 2011 average anime boost per volume) I was expecting a bigger drop in averages for recap week, but it's actually barely lower than the averages during finale week. Perhaps the release of chapter 47 and the OP CD kept it from dropping. Edit: July 25, 2013 Looks like ANN may be late with the manga rankings so I'll be archiving the latest data here for the time being.

Wow, I'm surprised Silver Spoon have been doing well. Could the anime that aired recently be any sort of influence to this? Anyways, nice to know and I might even give it a shot for the manga version.

The manga had been doing really well before the anime was even announced, last year it became the fastest Shogakukan title to reach a first printing of one million copies when volume 4 was released. Actually, winning the Taishou award some months before was what gave it quite a big sales boost initially. There may be another boost in sales due to the anime, but the volume in this chart was released on the same day the anime started, so I expect that boost (if any) will be seen when volume 9 comes out (in October, I think). |
