Could someone please help me figure out which one of the box sets to buy? The 2 choices are
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001DCYCS/sr=8-1/qid=1155781934/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-5373762-9322249?ie=UTF8 and http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CEV3O6/sr=8-2/qid=1155781959/ref=pd_bbs_2/103-5373762-9322249?ie=UTF8 I cant figure out which one to buy, because they both have 6 discs and all. Could you just tell me the differences between the two boxes? Does one have more extras then the other also? Because i would rather buy that. Thanks so much for the help, i have been wating to buy this for a while but could never decide which one to buy. |

I know the black box is the older release, and has 3 regular-size DVD cases in an artbox (Each case with 2 discs in it.)
The red one is the new Anime Legends version, usually costs less, and comes in a brick box. I'm afraid I don't know if there's any difference on the discs themselves. |

This one is the one I'd go with. However, I'd get it from here
On the other hand, this one is the Anime Legends collection. It is cheaper, but it comes in a "brick," which, in case you don't know, means that it is a single case that will open and have a certain number of discs in it (in this case, I believe it is three). So, the first link will be a nicer set for your collection, as it will include a box with individual DVD cases. Plus, I have known anime legends to have problems with the DVDs (Escaflowne). |

Thanks you two. Ill pick up the old one. I like to have my collection look good, . Also thanks Webki for the link. I didn't think i could find a better price for that one. Also i have heard of Escaflowne problems, espically on the last disc. Thanks again!

No problem.
Also, make sure to always check here to find the best price. Someone on this forum linked me to that site once, and it's proved a very valuable resource. (Though beware that one of the sites it will often link to is called DVDPacific.com or something just like that. That site will often have a good price (~up to 5 dollars less than the rest of the prices sometimes), but they require a membership that has an annual fee to receive those prices. If you're up for that, good for you. But I'm just warning). P.S. - Also remember to check RightStuf.com's weakly specials and bargain bins. Sometimes you can get an entire series of DVDs for ~$6 each. However, I did check and Outlaw star isn't listed. |

The old black box has gone on sale periodically in the past, tho'. (That's how I got mine.) I'd use caution in ordering from Overstock, tho'. I personally haven't used them, but I've read some nasty stories- the most applicable here being people who paid for new DVDs and got discs with the tell-tale radial pattern refurb discs have. (The worst being people ordering memory sticks and receiving bootleg products.) Plus I guess it's damn near impossible to get a return done properly, regardless of the reason. |

Hmm, I ordered my Full Metal Panic DVD 1 + Box and my Samurai 7 DVD 7 + Box from them. Both boxes came beautifully packaged and perfectly perserved. Neither of the DVDs had any problems playing either. That's why I recommend them.
Also, I've gotten some other products from them. This varies from a T.V. to two DVD players. I haven't had any problems with them either. Well, I guess it may happen. |
