Well, it seems like it's just about time to decorate my anime collection with something else than what it included in collector's boxes. So, I want to collect some anime figures. Of the sites I regularly shop at (Anime Nation, RightStuf, and Animaxis) I can't really seem to find a decent collection of figures... or at least not figures that I am interested in. To be more specific, I am looking for figures of various characters from different anime. So, if anyone can help me out, I would be much obliged. I will include with the character name a short description and/or anecdote of why I like the character, so I won't get busted for listing. Wink

So, I would love to find any of the following:

Kenshin - So far I've only seen cheap little gashapon figures that I don't really like. Is there any action/PVC figure available for him?

Aoshi Shinamori (from Kenshin) - My favorite Kenshin character. He appears on the DVD "Ice Blue Eyes." I've seen one cheap little gashapon of him, and while it was ok, I am looking for something better. I will pay upwards of ~$100 for a nice figure of him.

Ayanami Rei - To be more specific, I am looking for this figure of her that has her depicted as a Valkyrie. She has a sword and some medieval-type garments. Anime Nation had it for pre-order but they don't have it listed anymore, and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Negi from Mahou Sensei Negima - I can't find a figure of him anywhere. I've found one of every single one of the 31 girls, but not a single one of Negi! Why does no one love the little wizard!?

Gennosuke or Oboro from Basilisk - Either one will do, but both is even better. It would be really awesome if Gennosuke had his flute. But since the chances of that are zero right into the negatives, that isn't a requisite.

And finally...

ANY single figure from Full Metal Panic where Tessa and/or Chidori isn't in some slutty outfit/pose. For example, both this and this are not good. A figure of Sousuke is a bonus as well.

I know I'm asking for a lot, but I've been searching for a few days and can't seem to find anything. So if you know a good store that will have this, please tell me! I don't feel like typing on amazon.co.jp. Heh, it's too irritating.

From a fellow Negima fan to another I feel your pain. Unfortantly there are no Negi figures made to date. In Japan the show is geared towards a male audience. Whereas here in the US the bulk of the audience will probably be female. That's why most of the merchandise you find is of the different girls. However do not fret! There ae some toys in production for the US coming. One of these should be one of those plush UFo catcher things of Negi!

You're going to have a hard time finding figures of males. Only the really popular series (like Naruto, Bleach and Gundam) are likely to get male figures. Rurouni Kenshin may have had some back in the day, but it's probably too late to find any now unless someone is selling theirs on e-bay or something similar.

I know there are FMP figures that aren't slutty (that Chidori one is the worst, but I must admit that I really want it), but they will require some searching it seems.

HobbyLink Japan is a good source for figures, in my opinion. They used to have some FMP figures that were not 'slutty' but they seem to be sold out of those.

Yeah, I was figured that since Negima has a lot of fanservice it they would make the figures of all the girls. Ahh well, looks like I'll have to wait on the Negi. Maybe I'll pick up Asuna while I wait.

I'll continue my search for the FMP!, Hitokiri, maybe I'll find one of those illusive non-slutty figures.

And to Urd - That Matsumoto figure is very nice, but I have not seen it anywhere in my searches. And that Faye figure has been sold out at every place I went to so far as well.

Well, thanks for the help everyone, looks like I'm going to continue my search.
