That is a f-ing long time to wait for a movie. I am looking forwatd to owning and watching the Eva remake, but I think I am going to hold my purchase until sometime in mid-2016, when I hope FUNi releases the fourth film.
Again, 2015 seems so far away. Unless the last movie is 5 hours long, it should not take three years to create a 2 hours movie in my opinion. |

Hopefully they're actually making use of that time, and not just delaying it to coincide with the 20th anniversary. 'Cause that would suck.

With all that time, it better be awesome. I wasn't a fan of the third movie, but hopefully they salvage the ending.

I would bet that's what they're doing- Waiting for the 20th anniversary, I mean. How epic would it feel to have a final movie on that year? |

this would be really cool because it's the same year evangelion takes place... BUT 3.0 ruined it with their timeskip.

I was thinking the other day they were probably going to delay it to 2015 because that's the year the series takes place in. That's a pretty poor reason to delay a movie, but unless they plan on making more Eva I guess they figure they might as well profit off years of anticipation.
At the very least, "Winter 2015" probably means early 2015. |

I'm not going to complain as I'm going to be disappointed when the remake is over, the long I have to wait, the longer I have to enjoy the thought of new Eva.

Yeah, but "originally" they were going to release the first in 2007 and the other three in 2008. I guess looking at it that way, this movie is already 5 years late, so what's another 2? |

Well they took almost 4 years to make 3.0 So 2015 isn't bad at all in terms of waiting (if you're an eva fan) |

And Anno still has time to voice act in the new Ghibli movie? .................oh well. It's kind of funny how spoiler[ movie 3 basically ruined everything that was awesome about movie 2...although it did kind of get back to its roots (the world sucks, being a teenager sucks), and it did have the honor of being totally crazy and totally different from every Eva before...] |
