SE should be working on a new real franchise, a next Valkyrie and or revive Star Ocean, at the least the real Dragon Quest X... |

How is Dragon Quest X not the real Dragon Quest X? Is this like FFXI not being the true FFXI all over again?

^ I dont see how that upsets you. FF had 10 games then completely changed the game from a single player rpg to an online only mmorpg, and instead branding it as a spinoff which it did from series like tactics and crystal chronicles it branded it as a numbered sequel. Dragon Quest did the same thing.
Yes it is technically a real game. And yes it is technically a Dragon Quest game, but it is not a true # DQ game. Why the hell can they call one series Joker or Monster, and not call this Dragon Quest Online. Does some wily old Japanese person hold the trademark on Online and bans everyone else from using it . |

Well, if it's anything like FFXI, then it has an actual story that they consider to be part of the Final Fantasy mythos, with the ressurection of the Shadow Lord and all that.. Despite XI being an MMO it still had a story like any other FF.
Then again, DQIX was essentially an half-MMO already with no real characters and multiplayer. So it's less of a change for Dragon Quest. |
