Considering how long they are taking just to release the game in English, I bet they will still wonder why the English player base will drop. Not realizing that they take forever to release anything and just force people to play on Japanese servers. If they gave us a little more respect with news and updates then we would probably be throwing cash at them.

I like how they don't care about lip-flaps.

Maybe Sega's dragging their feet on this so the English version can get Ep 1 & 2 from the start! Yeah, I know, way too much wishful thinking...

There will be no more NEWS and headlines until July 9,2013. This is the day, SEGA re-organizes and restructures. http://trademarks.justia.com/855/17/orbi-85517210.html Published for Opposition Date 2013-07-09 |

They will restructure publicly on July 9,2013. The game will then be localized after that. |

Sega has three Sonic games coming exclusively to Nintendo along with others. Doesn't sound like a company planning to restructure and definitely not like one about to reveal their own console. If they really had something planned they would have been a total no-show at E3 and show signs of withdrawing from the 3rd party market. Instead they're developing new major titles for other companies.
If PSO2 was being withheld due to some sort of restructuring they would have done the same for all the other new games they showed at E3. Even a niche title like Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F is getting fast tracked by Sega while PSO2's been delayed. It has nothing to do with restructuring, it's the same crap they've been pulling since the original PSO. Besides, from what I'm reading about the "Published for Opposition Date" that's the date when people can begin opposing the trademark for a 30 day window, it doesn't mean Sega will instantly change its company on that date. Even after 30 days I doubt they'd move that quickly. Orbi is still a pretty awful name, sounds like an "as seen on TV" product. Emerje |

http://www.segasammy.co.jp/english/p...13_final_e.pdf "Activity develop into new fields(advanced facilities, opening of NEW business facilities.) "Establishment of a BBC facility in Japan and development for the worldwide license-out business". "Growth through horizontal development of strong IPs and securing of new earning opportunities" 2013-06-05 APPROVED FOR PUB - PRINCIPAL REGISTER The Published For Opposition is ALSO the "Publication Date". It specifically states that 7/9/13 will be the day the mark WILL be published. And FYI, SEGA has a shareholders meeting scheduled for this Tuesday. That's why they didn't announce any major changes at E3. July 9,2013 is the official date that Sega will form "Sega Orbi Enterprises" everything will be public that day. Research, before you type please. |

The link says the file doesn't exist...
I did research and my understanding is that the published for opposition date is simply the start of the 30 day window in which others can oppose the TM. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_time_period_for_trademark_application_published_for_opposition
You're looking at a minimum of two more months past 7/9/13 before the TM for Orbi can be issued. If someone does come along and oppose it or ask for an extension it could be another few years. I highly doubt Sega Sammy will be changing their name to something they haven't even secured yet. Emerje |
