I liked Xenoblade Chronicles, but it was ugly as sin. Thankfully, this game certainly doesn't have that problem.

This is giving me a lot of a more open field feel in a similar vein like Monster Hunter or even some WRPGs like Borderlands. It makes me wonder if it has the player be able to create his or her own character and class.

You forgot to include the word "uncensored."

As assume as this game looks I can't help but assume all the cool looking mecha combat will involve a series of 'spells' with Cool Downs to do anything.

Which is one of the things I disliked most about Xenoblade Chronicles.

If I wanted to play World of WarCraft. I'd play World of Warcraft.

Fire Emblem and Monolith being limited to an eternity of stagnation under Nintendo is a sin. Had the operation rainfall games been on the ps3 or xbox, they would have been more successful and not faced the 3rd person treatment Nintendo gave them.

Ill eventually get the wii u, but so far it has maybe 4 games that are out or announced that look decent (Monster hunter, Bayonetta 2, Windwaker Remake, and whatever this game is), and I cant say many more will come unless they are developed internally by Nintendo.

Speaking as a fan of Xenoblade Chronicles, this is one of the big selling points for me for the Wii U, coupled with the SMT x Fire Emblem crossover and the new Legend of Zelda.

I'm curious how these mech elements will add into the gameplay, and the graphics themselves look gorgeous. The character models in Xenoblade were limited by the system, but I did love the scenery. It looks like we'll have the full package this time.

As someone who would really really rather not buy a Wii U this causes me great pain.

As a mecha fan I can't wait to play this game. Well done, Monolith! Smile
By the way, the soundtrack sounds awesome so far, too (everybody talks about graphics, but music in games is important, too--even more than graphics in my opinion). Cool

I think the bad character models in Xenoblade had less to do with the system and more to do with the staff. There were plenty of other games for the system that had good character models.

I was a huge fan of Xenoblade...

I like that you could walk in a straight line and you'll always find some place new and interesting to look at (the setting in particular felt pretty clever).

Combat was... okay. They might as well have made the thing turn-based though.

(I don't really care either way, but I just found auto-combat kinda funny considering that there were no real footsies)

The thing that catches my eye in the X video is the part where the robot hops off a cliff and flies into the distance... I'm wondering how flexible this stuff will be.

Yeah. The more I listen to the music in Attack on Titan and some from Guilty Crown, the more I get excited on how his music will be utilized for great effect.

Man, I am mega hype for this game. I must've watched the trailer like a hundred times just in the last 24 hours. This and MGS5 were the highlights of this year's E3 for me. I'm planning to get a Wii U anyway, but I've absolutely got to have one by the time this comes out. I just hope Nintendo of America doesn't play the same agonizing waiting game they did for Xenoblade.

Looks pretty damn flexible to me. This and previous trailers have the robots flying and transforming in real time. The only limitation, as far as I can tell, is the "fuel" (you can see a fuel indicator on the HUD), similar to Xenogears.

You don't know what you are talking about. The world in that game was gorgeous.
