It's published in a bimonthly magazine - I wouldn't be too surprised if they've pretty well caught up.

Yes, but unlike most songs from the show, the original theme song kinda sucked.

There's definitely enough for a 3rd season (currently 3-4 vols plus whatever random chapters haven't been adapted yet) if you throw in Oomuro-ke. And with how much Sakurako was in the second season, I don't see why they wouldn't.

How is MLP doing in Japan anyway? I can't seem to find the ratings for the TV show.
Was it a success? Or did it bomb? I heard it had high profile JP VA's attached to the franchise and Bushiroad(the creators of the Vanguard Trading card game) were handling the series.
Was it able to somehow cultivate the "Brony Phenomenon" and rival the Touhou fanbase in Japan despite the American innuendo in the show? Or is the show mostly popular with the kids?

Not sure what you mean by American Innuendo ..but anywho, I guess we will find out how well the show has done depending on weather or not Bushiroad decides to get more episodes to dub after the initial 52 they plan to air.
Also wondering how the manga adaption will turn out myself.

If anyone brings this series over, it'll probably be Sentai Filmworks/Section23 Films, or maybe Maiden Japan. I don't see anyone like FUNimation, Viz Media, or Aniplex of America wanting it.
