Well, I'm glad I held off buying the DVDs then. I was planning on ordering them next week. I will preorder the blurays as soon as they are available.

Lord I love Discotek! If this sales well I would love to see them put more of their flicks out on BD Disc, i'd love to own a Blu-Ray of the Fist Of The North Star movie myself. |

Frankly you haven't seen enough old anime because the ratio between great and terrible shows has pretty much always been the same, even today. I'm behind on Jojo, but Space Brothers and Hunter x Hunter (2011) are amazing. And I think it's safe to say that the "new" Hunter x Hunter anime is better than "old" anime (I'm not comparing it to the manga btw). |

Well, this is a good deal indeed. I own the first two films. Ever since Discotek has been releasing these older titles I've been grabbing them up for future prospects. Like for the nieces and nephews. But I doubt they'd care. But it's good too see and collect some of these films. If I had a BD player I would have bought this instead. The best 2-for-1 deal ever.

It's really really easy to ignore bad old stuff. They've been filtered out of the marketplace and out of conversation, so people aren't watching them or seeking them out, so all that remains are the shining gems. |

A Blu-ray release on any of the their Lupin titles would be great, since a majority of the Lupin anime is avalible in Japan on Blu-ray including the really old titles. Cause as of right now A Woman Called Fujiko will so far be the only Lupin Blu-ray release in USA.

Send your request to Toei since they have yet to release it on Blu-ray themselves.
If they get it then Castle Of Cagliostro would be a good start since that disc would be a lot better than Mangle's special edition DVD (comparison can be seen here). |

I'd totally love to see them license Cagliostro, I too wasn't a fan of how the "moving" opening was altered to still images on their special edition DVD. |
