Sorry about my last topic I posted about battles, it did infact get kinda of confusing and I myself even had a hard time explaining it to other members. Anyway, I hope this topic will be easier to comprehend..Also, this is not FANFICTION. These battles really did occur.
I have about three (and two are related) most interesting fights that I've enjoyed watching!
Here are the battles:
Street Fighter II Animated Movie
I remember buying this movie years ago at my local K-mart store and it's been one of my favorites ever since then (glad the tape hasn't worn out by now.) There are two fights in this movie that proved to be good, in my book that is.
I was a fan of the battle between Chun Lee and Vega. How this fight came to be: Well, theres not a whole lot of information on the origin of this fight but I know this. From his jet type base, Shadowlaw's Monitor Cyborg is monitoring Chun Lee and Bison notices her and basically orders Vega to fight her. Mind you Vega is a psycho. Movie wise, the scenes go something like this. There is a battle between Zangeif and Blanka and of course Blanka wins by his electricution and then the scene moves to Chun Lee in the shower and then she gets out, sits on her bed (in her night cloths) and Vega attacks from above thus starting the fight. Guile tries to call Chun Lee but he gets no answer as the combat endures, Guile hears the screaming plee for "help" from Chun Lee when she knocks the phone down.
The reason I liked this battle is because the music which is playing is just plain awesome. And it makes the fight more interesting when theres that kind of music. Street Fighter's music throughout the movie is good.
Second Favorite Battle:
Street Fighter II - Animated Movie
This battle is between Bison, Ryu, and Ken. Here is the final battle in the movie. In the beginning of the final scene we see Honda, and Ryu. Guile soon joins because he is looking for Ryu. He finds him and tells him of Ken's condition which was that he fell victim to Bison's Psycho Power and now is under his control. Bison's jet appears and Bison, Ken, and Balrawg emurge. Honda fights Balrawg, Guile fights Bison because Bison killed Charlie (Guile's friend) Ryu now combats Ken and tries to reason with him.We do not hear much from Honda and Balrawg because most of the attention is drawn to Guile, Bison, Ken, and Ryu. Bison does away with Guilde. Next, Ken is Ryu's combat continues and Ken weakens and Bison "kills" Ken and Ryu now fights Bison. A few minutes later, Ken realises "his fait" and then makes a stunning appearance and fights along side Ryu. At the beginning, it seemed Bison had the upper hand. Bison fell victim to Ken and Ryu's Hado-Ken correct me if the spelling is off.
The reason I liked this battle is because the battles were so amazing and again the music that played in the background seemed to have matched the combat. Which again pin-pointed my interest.
Final Favorite:
Yu Yu Hakusho - Dark Tournament Saga
It was around the time when the Dark Tournament ended that I stopped watching Yu Yu Hakusho because 1) It stopped airing and 2) I didn't wanna pay $16.99 for a VHS tape.
The fight with Toguro and Yuske. This fight was pretty good for an ending to a saga. After Yuske and Kubara defeated Toguro in an earlier saga, Toguro finds Yuske and tells him of the Dark Tournament and he wants to fight him again. Here is the time, the time to whitch Yuske and Toguro have been waiting for. My knowledge of this fight is kind of fuzzy since it's been a awhile since I've seen this but it was good it went something like Toguro powers up and he claims that it is his full power, but he later says it was abou 85%. During this time, Yuske is getting thrown around like a ragdoll. Yuske fights Toguro then he powers up to 100%. Toguro is now fighting Yuske to try and get his true potential to come out. Genkai, in the form of Poo (His Spirit Beast) tells Toguro to hurt one of his friends which will draw Yuske's true power out. Toguro hurts Kuwabara and the plan works. (He survives.) Next, Yuske summons up his Spirit power and fires his Spirit Gun at Toguro. Toguro is killed and is happy that he finally got the chance to realize Yuske's power.
Well, I've told you my favorite battles in Anime. What's your's? Note: The battles do not need to be from SF and Yu Yu Hakusho. I wish to hear some interesting battles from other animes as well.

So I'm not a "real anime fan" by your standards, then? Unless it's a really well executed magic fight like in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya episode ten, I think watching people fighting is the most boring part of anime. Especially fist fights between angry, muscley men.

Well, I suppose it does not matter if you have taste for fighting or not. Yeah, fighting does not determine if you are an anime fan or not. So, I take that back.

If I were you, I´d remove that little excerpt about not being real anime fans from your first post. There are many great anime out there without a single fight scene.
One of my favorite fight scenes is of course, from the movie that had nothing else but that, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. The final fight scene against Sephiroth was awesome from start to finish. From Sephiroth blocking Cloud´s attack and the sword appearing out of nowhere, to the final attack that left me rather confused trying to figure out how the hell all those pieces of the sword were attached, yet it so cool I stopped caring ¨why¨ really soon.

Well, let's see... I've got a few. The first one, by the way, is actually from a game based on FMA, but the fight was fully animated, soooo...
Fullmetal Alchemist 2: The Curse of the Crimson Elixir. Edward Elric versus the Silver Bullet Alchemist. It was really short, but fast-paced and badass. Since the both of them could perform Alchemy without a circle, it was fast and furious. I liked it a lot.
Appleseed the Movie. Briareos versus the cyborg assassins (the ones with the monofilament wires). In general, fights involving monofilament wires are fantastic. It was fast and furious, and the woman's suicide at the end was just plain sweet.
Grenadier: Hohoemi no Senshi. Rusyuna versus Setsuna. Stylish gun-slinging, acrobatics akin to Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, and the fact that the battle ended when Rusyuna ripped off Setsuna's shirt... GIGGITY-GOO!!!

Samurai 7 episode 4, Kambei vs Kyozo.
It was fast, intense, visually great, well-executed, and did not outlast any of those traits. I've yet to see the last 6 episodes though, so I'm wondering if they'll be a round 2 (DON'T TELL ME IF THERE IS OR NOT!)
Burst Angel Jo vs Maria rounds 2 & 3.
Round 2 Jo and Maria fought in their psy-bots and wow. I think my eyes had orgasm during that scene. One of the most visually stunning combat scenes I've ever seen. And again, it did not outlast itself.
Round 3, Jo and Maria went at it hand-to-hand. Well, there's not very many things better than 2 bad-ass ladies duke'n it out til the bitter end.
One thing I'm noticing about Gonzo's duels and fight-scenes is that they don't drag them out, the duels tend to be relatively short and sweet, delivering it all in a quick punch to the face for maximum impact.
Noir ep 25 Mierielle vs Kirika.
It was something that I had wondered about all through the series, but when finally happens, I did not want a victor in this bout because it meant that the loser would die, and I did not want either of them to die. It was quite intense. You could definitely tell that having worked together for so long, they both knew how the other worked and thought and thus, they were sort of deadlocked. By the time they both had eachother at gun-point, I almost wanted to look away because I knew there was no way this episode could end without tears. And... eventhough they did not kill eachother, it still ended with tears... (Chloe )
Those are the 3 that stick out in my mind.
