I've been fortunate to find sites with the number of copies certain manga has sold. I can't find the number Furuba has sold in Japan. I know it's in the millions though. Help

I believe that list was from when Hana yori Dango became the best selling shojo manga of all time, which was during the TV drama, so it may have moved up since then. |

Whoops, never really noticed I guess. In any case, the name comes from a 1980 film epic directed by Akira Kurosawa (I believe it was my first real exposure to the director' work). While I probobly wouldn't put it in his top five, it has somewhat of a special place in my heart, and I though the name sounded cool. As for the avatar, it's the insane German actor Klaus Kinski as he appeared on the poster of "My Best Fiend," a documentary about his relationship with sometimes friend, sometimes nemisis Werner Herzog, who directed him in five films. Aside from being an amazing actor, Kinski was by most accounts seriously disturbed. His rages on-set were so violent and disturbing that most people refused to work with him more than once (during one movie shoot he shot at several workers for playing music too loud). He has an autobiography out (I haven't read it, but supposidly it's nothing but his sexual escapades) and all of his collaboration's with Herzog, most of which are superb if a little difficult from many viewers, are on DVD.
