All of these games are so generic and repetitive. The only one I've ever liked was back in the day, it was called true love. More of a hentai game but it got you invested in the characters and they didn't look like every other basic anime girl.

Well I did like oremio toradora, index/railgun psp because it expanded on from the anime and used the original voice actors/actresses from said series. Sadly as you stated it's over-bloated in the market now. |

True Love was an SLG (Simulated Life Game, I think?) where you picked 3 actions to do for morning/afternoon/evening which would build up your fitness, fashion/beauty, academics, artistic creativity, etc. Whereas these games are ADV (Adventure? Makes no sense) games of just dumping text and clicking between two or three choices. SLG gives you a lot more freedom in deciding what the actual events will be as well as giving your character attributes that need to be increased in order to (usually) woo whichever heroine you have your eyes on. It's unfortunate but ADV games are a lot easier to make since all you need is a scenario and very little gameplay so they have made SLG 'dating sim' type games like True Love and Pia Carrot pretty much non-existent these days.
