Hey look! Anime Detour is getting acknowledged for once...
I don't know Carrie very well, but from the few times I've seen her at Detour, she seems like a nice enough person. I hope she gets the treatment she needs. |

I wish I could donate, I like Carrie Savage as a VA. It sad to hear Carrie is afflicted with muscular dystrophy.

Anime Detour's General Charity Giving is a different fund from their Community Fund. Although its true a small portion of badges would end up going towards the fund. Unless you picked up a Community Sponsor badge which a large portion of the cost goes to the fund. |

Wish I was in a financial position where I could afford to donate to stuff like this. Carrie Savage is one of my favorite voice actresses (hell, she's probably only second to Laura Bailey), so I really hate to hear this. She seems like an absolutely sweet lady too, so I hope they're able to raise the cash needed to help her get the treatment needed.

Oh man, I can't belive she was diagonised with muscular dystrophy, I have it! If I had money to give I'd give it... but... you know... I just said why... I can't work due to it...

Donated. I don't really know her but she voices some of my favorite animes. I thought it was sad that just anime VA doesn't make enough that she has to have a part time job on the side.

My best wishes go to Carrie. As a person with muscular dystrophy, I can understand some of the hardships she is going through.
I was thinking the same. I feel sad that she needs to have another poor paying job like being a waitress to support herself. |

Not going to the con but I donated. I feel for her. I hope that enough money is raised so that she can find another revenue source that will be more accommodating to a person with muscular dystrophy.

Donated. Carrie is one of my favorite voice actresses and it made me very sad to hear she has muscular dystrophy so I hope she gets the extra money to get treatment or just help out with whatever she needs.
Just in case anyone isn't aware you can donate directly at the website linked and lowest is 5 and every little bit will help with things like this. I really hope a bunch of people donate and I wish Carrie the best. I hope she doesn't let this slow her down. |

Does anyone know how the donations work? I see the form, but there isn't an option for a payment method. I would really like to help out. I hope she can find work that can accommodate her needs. Sadly most people with the disease are very limited in what they can do.
