This was very good news to hear. The lack of a Blu-Ray had crossed Hanabee's release of my list before this, and I'd been looking at importing the UK Blu-Ray release after it was announced. Thanks, Hanabee! I'll be preordering at my local anime store.

Valks, you wouldn't have bought it unless it was Blu-ray?

I will admit, the DVD looks damn fine in it's packaging, I wonder how they're gonna top it.

I wouldn't have been rushing out to buy it any time soon without a Blu-Ray release. I prefer to buy on Blu-Ray and will generally wait a while after a show that has Blu-Rays available in Japan is released here or in the US only on DVD. Only when all reasonable chance of it being released on Blu-Ray is exhausted and it's in its last phase of its DVD licence (e.g. Funimation's S.A.V.E. label) will I consider buying such a series on DVD. I haven't bought Gosick yet for that same reason. I think the series would look fantastic on Blu-Ray (having seen Madman's stream) but I don't want to go and buy it on DVD when some labels here and in the US have had the habit of releasing Blu-Ray at a later date in a number of cases. With Bakemonogatari my purchase decision was justified for this very reason.
