Go Funi!!

If they keep this up, they might become "the #1 distributor of anime in North America".

SELF-EDIT: I could have sworn Black Cat was one of the ones mentioned. Weird.

Oh well.

That's a pretty pathetic and petty reason. Hell, DBZ fans holding onto a decade-old grudge and people who mistake FUNimation for 4Kids and scream at them for One Piece have more validity than you do.

Funny, for that reason alone I will buy all the dvd's Funimation puts out. God forbid a company try to protect its investment...

I admit even though I don't like Funimation in a way because their online store won't ship to the UK even though they'll ship to places like South Africa and Australia, I'll still buy their DVD's in any case because their stuff isn't quite bad... *would kill to buy the Kodocha limited edition sets...*

I was at that panel, and I wasn't really surprised, either, since there had been so many FunixBlackCat rumors circulating around. I was expecting something new and unknown. Guess I'll wait to read the AX reports.

Check your facts please. They were served for still distributing Fullmetal Alchemist, a show that was currently in DVD release. There were several other series that FUNimation had announced as well but havn't released yet. The only show they hadn't formaly announced was Solty Rei. Black Cat wasn't even mentioned.

That's the thing. People like Lyrai probably don't bother checking their facts because they think we should believe them when in reality they come across as being sad people who think that people should be worshipping them for being "so-called" experts in their field when they're clearly not experts at all.

no ginius (sp?), 4kids owns one piece, Nagisa said that people make that mistake often.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong but last I chacked FUNI had some decent subs, better than a lot of north american anime distrubuters; their dubs arn't too bad either *prepares to be tackled and beaten down by purists*. Honestly, I fail to see your logic.

Honestly, this doesn't suprise me in the least (what, with all the Gonzo things funi's been getin) I actually told some of my friends "I'm giving 3:1 odds of FUNI(3) or VIZ(1) getting it"

Hew boy.....

4Kids currently has One Piece, NOT FUNimation, and that is why (IMO at least) the dub sucks tremendously.

((Although supposedly FUNimation had One Piece for a while and dubbed two episodes before the rights were taken from them and given to 4Kids.))

Sad thing is, there still are people who blame Yu-Gi-Oh's dub entirely on FUNimation.

Anyway, getting back on topic, This is a good score for them! I hope the get more Shonen Jump titles in the future. I'd like to see them dub Hunter X Hunter or Eyeshield 21.

I saw a preview of the show on "Track-shun". Looked pretty cool. Can't wait to see it.

Now c'mon Funimation: license Pani Poni Dash!, and my happiness shall reach its peak.
