Possibility of a shining title, they had 3 on the ps2 released in the US, 4 or more in Japan.

Yakuza 6, where Kazuma becomes the owner of a rice bowl restaurant with his friends and Haruka. Sonic finally admits that his a speed freak, and goes into to rehab. Eggman finds out and gets Robot Sonic to try and get pictures of Sonic at rehab, as to ruin his family friendly image. You play as Knuckles and Tails, where you have to stop the throngs of Robot Sonic paparazzi clones from getting a picture of Sonic in rehab, all the while while making sure Sonic doesn't fall off the wagon.

I could actually see the series heading in that direction.

No, this is an announcement on the Japanese site. If they were going to do a localization, it would be on the English Sega site.
