Oooh, some really neat people have worked on this. I really like "Tatami Galaxy" and I'm interested in seeing what other ideas the author has to offer!

Sakurai Takahiro's character should be name Yasaburou, since the name has the kanji for three to indicate third oldest child.

I just hope they hire a different character designer. It seems all their works look like they are done by Kanami Sekiguchi. It is how Kyoto animation's characters look like Yukiko Horiguchi's K-ON style.

Hmph it seems that P.A. works really likes adapting actual novels.Also lets face it,if this is anything like tatami Galaxy it will be awesome.

although i realy dont trust PA works, haven't liked any of thier anime ever, still looking forward to this, this guy's novels are realy great, and the tatami galaxy is one of my favourite animes ever. It would have been realy nice to see masaaki yuasa direct this again, and a realy shame they didn't have Yusuke nakamura do character designs, koji kumeta is a pretty good replacement.

Same here. What's more...
...That strikes me as special, and since I've enjoyed the lunacy of SZS and the lavishly animated works by P.A. so far I can't imagine passing this up. (Still hoping they'll animate that competitive swimming series, too...) |

Wouldn't this be just their second actual novel adaptation after Another? I really can't think of another (no pun intended). If the lead artist from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei wanted to draw Miyanaga Saki (from the Saki manga/anime), pretty sure she would look a lot like the girl in the middle of that picture. |
