Is that the only kind of genre you're looking for or can you stand some violent action anime?

Please be more specfic, otherwise I'll have to lock this thread for having no point. Describe what kind of action you like; guns, fisticufs, martial arts, sword fights, shounen, mecha, magic/supernatural, sci-fi/technological stuff?

Being more detailed will help people narrow it down for you a little easier.

Can you tell us what you've seen? I can make a lot of suggestions, but I don't want to waste my time making recommendations and commenting on stuff you already saw.

Hmmm ok I'll just do some random ones here since so many fall in those categories: (added details for your enjoyment!)

Fist of the North Star - Mad-maxish series involving a bad-arse dude who wonders around killing baddies with his make your head asplode power. There's an ancient t.v. series and a newer ova.
One Piece - my personal favorite show, some martial arts mixed in with many many unique fighting style, IMO best shonen series out there.
Gantz - Very sci-fi-ish, alot of action also nudity and graphicness you've been warned.
Scryed - no marsh-arts really, but very sci-fi-esque action sequences with strance powers and perdy shonen.
Trigun - If you know CB you prolly know this. Great show with lovable characters good laughs and some intense battles.

A million more that's all I can think of right now tho.

hmmm ok you could check out Samurai Champloo if you like bebop and samurai, however it does have its some diferences its more quirky and more violent in parts. Ermm not alot of info to go on but if you like action then you might want to check out a few films. I would recomend you see some classics like Akira and Metropolis. Then perhaps later go on to more modern stuff like Advent children.

hope this helps

Ok then, I'll just name a few titles going down the list of what I've seen.

Berserk -- One of the greatest, if not the best, fantasy anime I've seen. The plotline is very mature with a lot of character development and the action becomes very violent at times (especially towards the end of the series). And by violent, I mean people getting impaled or having their limbs chopped off. I recommend this if you want something dark and serious.

Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture -- I'm a huge fan of the video game franchise and enjoyed this title a lot. It has a little bit of everything from comedy to drama to romance. But being a fan, most of it is just bias. I can't really comment any further because I don't know if you've ever played the games. However just speaking in terms of martial arts anime, I feel this is a good action pick worth that hour and forty minutes.

Hunter X Hunter -- This is my second favorite shounen series only to Rurouni Kenshin. The characters were a joy to watch and I found myself rooting for the main character throughout the entire thing. It's a bit on the long side in 62 episodes, but trust me, it didn't feel like a single episode was wasted. To me, this title is the ultimate message in learning about friendship, teamwork, and never giving up.

Outlaw Star -- This is one of my top choices for "outer space anime that doesn't have a Gundam in it." Overall, it's a lot of fun to watch because the characters have a good chemistry. On top of that, most of the series involves a lot of space travel, meaning you get a lot of exposure to different kinds of people and environments (Fred Luo). It's another one of those titles that mixes in a little bit of everything, sort of like a more "fantasy" version of Bebop.

Samurai Champloo -- Speaking of Bebop, if you liked that, you'll probably like Champloo. It was directed by the same man and carries a lot similiarites in terms of well-balanced comedy and action. Though personally, I'd say Champloo is more of a comedy until about the last four episodes. Much like how jazz (a somewhat older style of music) helped Bebop's futuristic setting, the hip-hop (a newer style of music) really blends in well with the feaudal Japanese setting of Champloo. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, if not for the atmosphere, then at least the presentation (great animation and music Anime hyper).

Also, there's no need to keep thanking us all the time. Once is good enough Wink. Good luck.

I can't believe I didn't think of this one! I second Outlaw Star and Berserk.
