Oh the combo of cringeworthy moments of anime in one series... Xp I bet is quite a coveted item among collector outside of Japan

This strip is hilarious!
The worst part is you just know that someone is going to walk in the room during that "swimsuit with hotdogs and popsicles!" party scene. Then that person is going to shake his or her head and silently judge you and all anime ever produced, and no amount of "but...communal bathing is totally normal in Japan!" explanation is gonna cut it. |

The strip left out the very last scene of the episode:
Hikaru: "I love you Setsuko." Setsuko: "I love you too, and I don't care what they say, my dear brother." |

According to quite a few "Downfall" clips on YouTube, Hitler was a dyed-in-the-wool NaruSaku fan...and therefore clearly wrong.

spoiler[And then the next story arc stars a powerful, fairly independent female character who kicks *all kinds* of butt on her own, overcomes her problems, and generally shows herself to be extremely competent even in an international-scale tournament with plenty of men in it. And let's not forget that while SAO's second story arc did have the birdcage, it also had several female tribe leaders, Leafa as a major companion for most of the arc, and so on and so forth. Not a whole lot of anti-female sentiment except from individual characters...] |

And that's assuming that the conflict started in a world where the UK bowed out after winning the Battle of Britain. If we postulate a world where an angry British Empire were trying to regain its homeland, Nazi ass gets kicked six ways to Sunday(even excluding the US). |

If it helps, infamous "Deep Blue Fleet" (Konpeki no kantai) anime has Imperial Japan fighting against Nazi Germany spoiler[after sinking the whole US fleet, and trashing the USA to force them to peace.].

I love strong female characters busting up stereotypes as much as the next girl, but don't most guys find battle girls hot? Isn't that the point of all those ero ninja, samurai, alternate history and Queen's Blade anime? Why would an anime keep girls out of the battle?
Or is it only hot when its girls fighting other girls and emasculating when girls fight guys? |
